Positive: Loved the way the owners presented the property. Loved the old world charm but with modern conveniences.
Negative: The location. Beautiful sunset the the sheep strolling around early in the morning. Sunrise equally as good.
Summary: Only thing I would add are blockout blinds to help kids not wake up at sunrise.

Positive: Exactly what was described, with even more charm. It was a hot day, we arrived late and the aircon had been on ready for us - nothing more welcoming in the country! Beautiful interior. Excellent facilities.
Negative: Nothing. We will be back.

Positive: We stayed at the Shearer's Quarters, which is 1 of 3 properties within about 150m of each other in a remote part of a working farm. Awesome off-grid location. There is a lounge/dining room and kitchen that is all together, which is well equipped. To access the bedrooms you have to go outside, and there are 6 different bedrooms attached, 3 doubles 3 twins, all with separate external entrances. The toilet and shower block is separate to the bedrooms and the kitchen\lounge building, so you have to walk outside to access them. The deck has a good BBQ from which to enjoy a meal and drinks whilst looking over a lovely landscape. Very chilled, great fun watching them round up the cows with the dogs next to our garden.
Negative: Air con in the main house was fine, and worked well in 2 of the bedrooms we used, but couldn't get it it to work effectively in the other one. The info we received before we arrived said there was a chargeable minibar with beers/wine etc. There wasn't one, so meant a 15 minute drive to the nearest town. Comms very poor. Sent a question before we arrived that was never answered. The picture in the booking page was not of our actual property, it must be a different one they have elsewhere on the fam.
Summary: Great rural location, awesome experience, but be clear which property you are actually renting.

Positive: It’s in the middle of nowhere which is the good and the bad thing about the property. It has beautiful interiors and is very well maintained to give you that country experience. Everything you need for a comfortable stay was available in the property. The views were amazing, abundant nature and animals grazing from farm.
Negative: The town is 20-25 mins away and the cottage was up a hill in a secluded place. We were in a group with small kids so having washrooms outside and rooms that aren’t connected wasn’t something that was mentioned or expected. In the night it felt a bit scary for them. The cottages are also very far from each other so it almost felt like we were the only people in a very wide secluded place. I also was expecting we will have some farm experience for the kids so they would enjoy. It wasn’t mentioned so won’t say it’s the property’s faults but just something that didnt match expectations. Some people love it, some won’t so much!

Positive: Excellent communication. Lovely rustic cottage. Very comfortable bed. Beautiful views of the surrounding farm. Lovely, peaceful, quiet and restful experience.
