Positive: Location was great - a 20 minute walk to the sites. Street parking available near the hotel which was free overnight, otherwise parking in the hotel is expensive.
Negative: No coffee or tea making facilities in the room. This is the first time I have seen this in a hotel.
Summary: Great location and clean hotel with nice room (apart from lack of tea/coffee facilities).

Positive: Beautiful room big and wide, we got complementary cocktails for each guest for free!! Was nice from stuff. The location is 25 min walking from White House. Very clean and cozy hotel
Negative: Just sound of traffic through the windows you can hear all night , need better sound proofing in the windows.

Positive: Breakfast was very good and so much better than a buffet. The view from our window was fine.
Negative: The male receptionist forgot to give us our breakfast vouchers and no one told us there were drinks facilities in the lobby. Every time we came into and out of the hotel someone was always standing there. Only spotted the facilities when we finally left the hotel. We wondered why there wasn’t any tea or coffee in the room.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay, room very comfortable and we were able to walk from hotel to Capital Hill.

Positive: Staff was excellent esp check in staff. The restaurant staff were very attentive esp the young lady. Please note we only had breakfast at the hotel.
Negative: Room lighting the room is too dark esp for applying make up. The small mirror is not very useful. The room cleaning was inadequate as the staff didn’t change the glasses and through away empty containers and bottles.
Summary: Overall because of the friendly and helpful front desk staff I would stay at the Banneker again.

Negative: Opening the automatic window coverings was more of a mystery than necessary. Controls were on opposite side of room, not even in reach of beds (which would make sense).
Summary: Every member of the staff we encountered was LOVELY!
