Positive: When we arrived we had been upgraded The room was huge with a king size double and a single .The shower room was very large. The hotel was nice and warm and although old fashioned it was very clean. The staff bent over backwards to accommodate us. We had an evening meal which was excellent and a couple of pints at a very reasonable price. In the morning the breakfast was very good with plenty of toast and coffee. This is an ideal place to stay if you are travelling on the border railway as it is only a mile from the station and the taxi costs around a fiver

Positive: Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Hotel is a short drive to a few different attractions and villages.

Negative: The hotel is charming and has so much potential. A few updates could be made such as interior decor and having a lounging space would that would make it more charming!
