Positive: It was an amazing experience! Very atmospheric place in the spirit of Edo period but with modern facilities :) Comfortable and cozy place with everything needed. And we really liked that there was a terrace where you can just sit, relax and contemplate the beauty of ancient dzen garden :) And the location is perfect: you live inside of the ancient Obi district, museums are within 5-7 min walk, a supermarket is within 3 min walk, and Udo shrine is 25min by bus (bus station is 2min walk)

Positive: The house is beautiful and comfortable, and has many traditional features. The location is excellent, you do not have to step very far out of the door to experience the beauty of Obi.

Negative: Unfortunately, the items in the kitchen were not very clean which was disheatening as I planned to cook - glasses, spoons/chopsticks, plates etc were all a little dirty. There were some condiments provided but these were sticky, and generally the condiments were lacking (there was no salt or pepper which was unfortunate considering these are staple items).

Summary: Beautiful house but cleanliness in kitchen was a bit of a letdown
