Summary: There is a sign by the entrance of the main building claiming this is a 4 star mansion. I would give it 2 stars - and still being generous. Our room (in a red brick building far from the main) was small, run down – and with a cheap double bed. On the hottest day of the year we could not open the windows, as they were right next to the entrance. Of course no air-con, but thankfully a fan. The estate have several dead trees, and more seem to be dying. Paint is peeling off the grand old main house. On the positive side: Great breakfast, friendly staff and the golfing seems good (not a golfer myself). For a stopover, look elsewhere. For a golf weekend with buddies, it might be your thing. Just don‘t expect high standard accommodation.

Summary: Although a bit of a way from Skövde, the grounds were lovely, staff incredible, room and shower very comfortable, breakfast options abundant, rates very good. We stayed over Midsommar weekend and the traditional Toast Skagan appetizer was very good. The staff were very accommodating and cheerful. They made an effort to connect with lodgers. A shoehorn was provided, which is essential.
