Positive: The price is high, but you can expect a lot. The hotel rooms were great. You could choose if you prefer to sleep in big comfy western beds or prefered a Japanese futon instead (there were two rooms, so enough space to get the futons out). Maybe prepare a bit in advance, so that you know what´s going on, because the English introduction at reception is a bit shorter than the Japanese one, but the staff is always really helpful and can answer your questions. Breakfast and diner were both included and were fantastic. The sushi cook in the evening was so helpful and we tried 2-3 different sort of fish we never had before. And all the other dishes were great, too. Don´t forget to stop in time, so that there is still room for dessert ;o) The onsen on the roof is wonderful. You have an excellent night view and can see the beautiful harbour area. There is an onsen for women and one for men. First there is a big room where you undress and put your clothes in little baskets. Then there is a shower room followed by a pool, a whirlpool and the lovely onsen. And if you want to spend around 200 Yen extra, don´t forget to visit the room with the massage chairs. They are amazing.
Negative: The price only allows to stay a couple of days :o(
Summary: It´s the perfect place to relax in the onsen and enjoy some fantastic food on your Japan journey.

Positive: The property was beautiful and we loved exploring Kobe! The lower level Onsen was fantastic!
Negative: The upper level Onsen had potential to be better. The outdoor portion just had a hottub and the rest was closed. However, since they did have the amazing ground level Onsen, that wasn't too inconvenient.

Positive: The breakfast and dinner was fantastic. Gorgeous views from the room. Having english speaking front desk attendant coming to our suite to explain everything about the hotel since we speak english was very nice touch.
Negative: Charging for the patio beds at the pool was something very cheap. Also we wanted to order the food at the pool but we were asked to pay for the chairs . That was the reason we did not order the food as we do not want to stand while eating. Being able to book the room through website was no problem, but upon arrival to find out that the price is for one person was a big surprise.
