Positive: A genuine homestay with a lovely family who made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived! We were served a delicious home cooked dinner and breakfast and really felt like part of the family. We learned so much about Sri Lanka and the area surrounding the property and nothing was too much trouble. If you want an authentic family stay with good food and fabulous Sri Lanken hospitality, then this is the place. It was also exceptional value for money.

Positive: The place is so cozy. Loved the vintage style and high ceilings. The hosts are very nice people & they served us super delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. Great value for the money, quiet location.

Negative: In the evening THOUSANDS of termites entered the room and gathered around the lamp (door and windows were closed). We did not expect that to happen and spent like an hour getting rid of them in the dark. We put the flashlight outside to lure them, turned the inside lamp off and tried to wave them out with towels. Week after we still find their wings on our stuff sometimes... Would have been nice to know this could happen, we would have rather stayed in the dark the whole evening than deal with this. :D

Positive: We had a wonderful stay at Kon Tree Shade. The family is extremely kind and welcoming, Venishiya is an amazing cook and her son is a very funny guy, we enjoyed talking to them and getting to know them day by day. The room was nice and comfortable, the shower has hot water and there's a washing machine available in the room. Good position close to Dambulu Oya bus stop. Breakfast and dinner are a must! So tasty and home made with love. We felt at home❤️ thank you so much to this beautiful family! Bohoma istuti, ayubowan👋🏻

Positive: we want to tell big thanks for the treat. that means the farther who manages and did everything for us helped us much. he gave us advice for our safe and good trip. we enjoyed days at Dambura and traditional food. especially tea father made us is so good.

Negative: in booking.com, we can not communicate directly with the peraon who treat the guest at this guest house. before arriving there, we do communicate with his son by booking.com. but he is not in this guest house. I wish we could send messages each other with the father who lives in this guest Yhouse and treat us.
