Positive: This is an amazing property. Stunning gardens, beautiful views. The house is large and comfortable. It is great that it is a family home (rather than a commercial holiday property) because it is well set up for cooking and well stocked with towels, blankets etc. The pool is fabulous. What a luxury to have a heated pool! It is 1.75m deep, great for swimming but worth noting with little kids.

Negative: When we arrived, there was a really strong smell of cigarette smoke. It took 2 days of airing to reduce. I suspect we were the first holiday makers of the year so perhaps this wouldn't be a problem later in the season, but I found it very upsetting and unpleasant at the time and it took the shine off what was otherwise an exceptional house. The water pressure in the shower wasn't brilliant but it was functional.

Positive: Gorgeous property with an even more gorgeous view. Our kids loved the heated pool and spacious garden. The house is clean, very well equipped and easy to find with the host’s guidance. It’s quite remote, but we enjoyed our drives through the Cretan coutryside. Dimitris is lovely and was available throughout our stay. The sunrise and sunsets were magical. One of the most spectacular rentals we’ve stayed in. We wouldn’t hestitate to stay here again.

Positive: Paradise on a hill top. The owner was more than helpful too.

Negative: Nothing to dislike but it should be noted that it’s 20 minutes drive down crazy mountain roads even to the nearest shop. If you’re OK with that, then this place is ideal.

Positive: During last 10 years we have hired around 40 homes around Europe and this one is probably the best. It is equipped with everything you need to have a perfect holiday. Of course it is 20-25 minutes from the main road, but what means 20 minutes when you are on holidays. The house is thoroughly cleaned twice a week. Never mind. What is exceptional is hospitality. We were pampered with wine, oil olives cakes and gifts. Dimitri waited for us close to the main road to guide us to the home, as we arrived in the night! It may happen only in Greece We felt save because in any case we could rally on someone (Dimitr’s parents live close to the house). I strongly recommend this house.
