Positive: The private baths are amazing. Although there are heaters in the house, I would recommend bringing warm clothes when going in winter. The house is beautiful, clean and spacious.

Positive: - has a breathtaking view - able to cook and bbq on the balcony - the kitchen has everything we need - friendly staff. They have cranked up the air con to pre-heat the house for us. - it is a camp site not a 5 star hotel so please adjust your expectation - onsen water is hot..hot...hot - tap water has an "onsen" taste but this is what expected. - tatami bed (like in Doraemon, U need to do your bed at night and in the morning) - tranquility in the morning
Negative: - The bedroom is upstairs - steep uphill to the site - old cabin/house - unstaff in the evening
Summary: A Cozy place

Positive: We were lucky to have a private onsen, which was nice. The cabin was spacious and in a good location if you have a car.
Negative: We felt like we were on a school camp. The cabin was not ambient or very comfortable. We were supplied with a basket of bed sheets and had to make up our beds/futons. When paying for accomodation we would not expect to have to put sheets on the beds. To make matters worse, the sheets were stained. The host also has a very short and strict check in period which had us feeling rushed to arrive.
Summary: Paid for the location and not much else.

Positive: Enormous room, we got the room above the Onsen with 6+ futon beds. Private onsen in the room was pretty nice. Lots of items for cooking
Negative: The price we paid was very high for such a level of comfort. The toilet is outside the room, in a very cold room. The public bath is old and disappointing. Room not so clean. Lots of light coming in in the morning. Pretty cold, although the heater works well. Staff did not allow us to get the keys until 15 exactly.
