Positive: John was an exceptional host. We unfortunately left our passports in the house and only realized 4 hours into our journey. John immediately said he would post these to us in Ireland( my husband and I also had our passport cards with us , but the problem was with our dog. The ferry company would not accept photos of the dog passport( taken by John for us) We had to drive the 4 and half hour journey back to Carcassonne, where John had the passports all ready for us. Positive: Host was great - very responsive and spoke English. Unique location and experience with view and a true sense of the living quarters in the city. Very comfortable living area and everything one needed in the kitchen. Bedroom was comfortable for one person.
Negative: Nothing. It was as advertised.

Positive: Host was friendly. Stay was cheap, had parking on the main road and a view of the castle. The two dogs were very nice and friendly.
Negative: The spa (which is part of the name) was the only reason we chose this option, but we were told it was only available between Jun-Sep (this was not mentioned at all in the description). The host lives upstairs, and you can hear talking, movements, water flow etc. The bedroom was very stuffy and had no airflow (we could not open the windows as there were lots of mosquitoes around). A good fan would help with this. The bathroom is also inconveniently on the other side of the apartment, so you need to walk through the lounge, dining room and kitchen to get to it. We noticed some dirty glassware and we didn't even use the kitchen to see if there was anything else dirty.
Summary: Cheap and quick stay.

Positive: Views from the property are to die for!! But the property itself it's also giving off some wonderful vibes. You can definitely feel the age, 300 years envelope you in its warm embrace. Tranquil garden is very inviting. Kitchen and bathroom facilities are adequate. Very pleasant dining and sitting room. Host was very helpful and informative. We would happily return to stay there again.

Positive: It is like living in a real castle :) paintings around, beds and a lot of colourfull pillows. The view of the castle is breath taking. All comments left are little bit true, but it is old town, authentic house with awasome view, terrace, all needed kitchen equipment, bathroom and free places to park car on a street near. The owner is very nice. So you are in Carcassonne, but in calm place where you can relax. We were family of 5 and we loved the place.
