Positive: We stayed 2 nights (27-28 August). We loved the homely feel of the place. The interior of the room is designed for comfort and privacy, everything you need for a comfy stay for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The views around the property were absolutely stunning and the swimming pool an absolute treat. I loved the garden with fruiting trees and singing of birds. Everything was picturesque and perfect!!! Very private location, the owners were an absolute treasure; their place provides peace, relaxation and opportunities to connect with the nature around it. The owner Evelyn and Jaqui were so welcoming, their hospitality was outstanding!!! Evelyn makes the most amazing breakfast with home made jams, yogurt, bread, honey, bread, croissants, french toast and banana cakes. Everything was homemade and lovingly prepared. Evelyn ensured the service was perfect and her attention to detail was impressive. Evelyn also served us the most excellent dinner experience with starter, main course and dessert, paired with local wines. We had the opportunity to have some traditional food from the region cooked by Evelyn. Her culinary skills were excellent, everything we ate was mouth watering and delicious. The meals on both evenings deserved a “Michelin Star” for outstanding culinary quality based on ingredients, flavour harmony and Evelyn technique mastery. Our children and us loved every bite of it. Thank you for letting us enjoy a piece of your paradise!!! We will definitely be back!!!

Positive: We loved staying here. The hosts were very friendly. Once we got there the first 2 questions were: do you need to charge your car and did you already have dinner? Super friendly and a very nice home and of course the delicious jams!

Negative: No wardrobe space or storage in the bedroom. You have to ensure that you give plenty of notice if you wish to eat in the evening. Nowhere to eat/drink within walking distance.

Positive: Super welcome despite a very late arrival. The bedroom was big and very comfy with all what is needed. Large bed and shower room. Huge tv with cable channels. Nice goodies with water, coffee and locally made chocolate cookies ! The breakfast (taken on the large dining and salon room, with a beautiful fireplace!) was really nice with homemade jam, croissants and bread and cheese kindly offered. Not to mention that the owner was really welcoming and smiling. The swimming pool is not operational at this time but it will be a perfect spot in summer time, for sure ! Anyway… a great spot for a night or much more !!

Positive: This was outstanding in every respect. The hospitality was second to none, the breakfast was both excellent and ample, the room was spacious and well resourced and the house as a whole had been beautifully and tastefully restored. In addition, the hostess, Evelyne, laid on two delicious evening meals (with an apple crumble to die for!). We would be very happy to go back for a return visit.

Negative: We wondered whether the lighting in the bedroom could be enhanced further to allow for easier reading - but this is no more than a minor quibble, given the overall quality of the accommodation and as a very senior couple we do appreciate that our eyesight is not what it was!
