Modern house of 70 sqm arranged over one floor, situated on the doorstep of the beautiful garrigue countryside, yet only 3 km from the historic town centre of Uzès, and walking distance to a supermarket and other amenities.
The house offers a small Mediterranean garden adorned with traditional stone walls, olive and pomegranate trees and a south facing patio, complete with dining table and chairs. The highlight is a small private pool in an intimate courtyard to the side of the house, perfect for a refreshing dip on a summer’s day.
Inside you will find a generously sized contemporary living area, complete with sofa, armchairs, TV, bookshelves and a 4 seat dining table. The open plan kitchen comes fully equipped and includes a dishwasher, induction hob, oven, fridge/freezer, microwave, coffee machine, toaster and a kettle.
There are two bedrooms, the master bedroom with a king-size bed and walk-in wardrobe and a second bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom/WC is a good size with a large shower. Amenities also include a washing machine and ironing board. There is a small shed at the back of the house where you can store your bikes and a parking space for 1 car at the front of the property.
Sheets and towels are provided, and there is free Wi-Fi.
The house is only a few minutes’ walk from the Eure valley where you can follow numerous walking trails amongst a picturesque landscape. The walk to the centre of Uzès takes you through the valley offering fantastic views throughout, and takes just 20 minutes. The house is also very close to the Haribo museum.
The Gorges du Gardon, a classified Unesco world heritage site, is only 8 km away and is perfect for nature lovers and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking and canoeing. The Pont du Gard, an impressive roman aqueduct traversing the gorge, is also nearby. The city of Nîmes is only a 25 min drive away and Avignon 40 min.

Summary: Absolutely brilliant property! It was a gorgeous wee house and so close to everything which made sight seeing so easy! The owners are so sweet and nothing is too much trouble. Would 100% recommend!

Summary: We were blown away by Marie and Etienne's place. It looks brand new and very modern. Marie and Etienne are very gracious hosts though they spoke very little English we managed to communicate well. Texting seems to work best. The bonus was a great swimming pool that served us well due to it being July in the south of France. We rented a car after taking the train from Paris to Nimes and drove the rest of the way, about 35km. This gave us an opportunity to see the landscape as we drove in. We didn't expect a great town up the road called Uzes only a few kilometers away. Beautiful central square and shops galore. If you want to experience France outside the large metropolitan areas, this is the place. It was just perfect.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay, really lovely, well thought out house, well designed and nice ambience inside and out. The pool was a great way to cool off. And the hosts were so nice and welcoming.

Summary: Uzes is a very nice historic city and worth visiting. In general the house was a fine place to stay, however an air conditioner would have been appreciated (in a very hot July).

Summary: Really nice place. Clean and tidy. Really private and a nice quiet location. The owners were great and easy to check in and check out. It is in walking distance to Uzès about 30mins. Walk is a little up and down in places.

Summary: Mari and Etienne were amazing hosts. The property is well equipped, spotlessly clean, and lovely. The location to city center in Uzes is just a 5 minute car ride and a short walk, as well. We would absolutely stay in this property again. We are so thankful to Mari and Etienne for their kindness, as well, in helping us get in touch with a doctor in town. I came down I'll and needed medical care while in Uzes, Mari and Etienne were so amazing and so very helpful. They are truly beautiful people. Leslie and Joe Hohmann

Summary: The villa was beautiful, so clean and tidy. The pool was lovely and refreshing as it was very warm each day. The location was perfect for the Town of Uzes and the Haribo museum was right on our doorstep also all the supermarkets and shops are very close by. We had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Summary: The house is well thought out with a well-equipped kitchen and very nicely decorated. It was spotless on arrival. Very close to the shops & supermarket. We also walked to the centre of Uzes through the valley – highly recommended! Mari and Etienne were very friendly and helpful, giving us lots of ideas for things to do in the area. We especially loved the pool, it’s in a really lovely and intimate space. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope to return in the summer!
