Summary: We were so delighted with our stay. We had been a bit concerned about our "cosy double" room being too small for a 4 night stay after an email from the hotel cautioning on its size but it was a completely standard sized double room with ample space for the two of us to dress and dump bags. Service around the hotel was 5* level - it was incredibly personable, friendly, efficient, and attentive. We felt comfortable spending time in the bar, on the terrace or pool without feeling over-looked and we kept remarking on how welcoming staff were. The restaurant was lovely and the wine list tremendous. We are vegetarian and had 5 good main options. We are both in our early 40s and when we stayed in September we seemed to be the youngest guests in the hotel by 30 years. This may be useful information for some would-be guests, it wasn't an issue for us.

Summary: Our long weekend spent at this hotel could not have been better. The hotel was very clean and well maintained with all the facilities you would expect from a highly rated hotel. The food was amazing, always excellent whether that be breakfast, lunch or dinner or even a quick snack. All the staff were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The La Barbarie hotel is a real gem of a find and we’ll certainly be returning when we next visit Guernsey.

Summary: Lovely small hotel with heated swimming pool, restaurant and bar and parking. Staff were very welcoming and helpful. My room was nice although very close to reception which meant I could hear (and see!) comings and goings until 10pmish. Liked the small friendly atmosphere around the place.

Summary: I was very comfortable in my room & it was well-appointed. The staff were very friendly & efficient. The food was good & well-presented. The only downsides to the room I occupied were that the windows would not close properly & I felt the potential to be overlooked so kept the curtains closed much of the time.

Summary: Lovely hotel in a great location, well maintained. Cliff top walks and the bus stop minutes away. Very warm friendly staff and the food was absolutely excellent. We will return again which is something we rarely do with hotels as we enjoy staying in different places.
