Summary: 11 of us stayed in this lovely modern house, spending hours in the pool and outside undercover areas. We visited local villages and found amazing history and people. The house owner was very helpful and informative, we would definately go back.

Summary: We were a large family group ranging in age from 8 to 80 years. There was plenty of room for everyone to be in a group or alone as they wished. The large kitchen was well equipped with plenty of crockery and utensils for all sixteen of us. We ate almost all of our meals on the veranda although the indoor dining room would accommodate us too. The house is tastefully decorated but not fussy and definitely child friendly. The garden is as in the photograph pretty but simple. Our family spent most of the time in the pool which was deliciously cool and a decent size for those who swam lengths before breakfast! Virginia and German are delightful hosts, ready to deal with any questions or problems but totally unobtrusive for the rest of the time. We all thought the house was even better than the photographs showed. Everything in and about the house is generous, there is nothing skimpy, a spacious and welcoming place. Thank you Virginia and German for making our family reunion such a success.

Summary: We stayed at La Calandria for 8 days and it was the best holiday our group had so far. We're a group of friends, 7 families all together & we usually organise a yearly holiday. Initially we planned to drive around some places in Castille Y Leon and make the villa our base but when we saw how the kids we're so contended on just staying in and playing by the pool we decided to spend most of our time there, 3 days on & my 14 yr. old even told me that she misses the villa. We had a chance to mingle with the locals and it was such a great experience even though we don't speak Spanish except for some odd words and they don't speak English either but somehow we connected. Virginia & Herman are great host they made sure that we had everything that we need, they usually stay on site if there's guests in the villa, any questions they're just a phone call away. They even organised a meat delivery from the local butcher on our 2nd day there. Thank you Jorge for the quick response. We'll definately come back in the near future.

Summary: Virginia and Jorge were so welcoming and accommodating to our large group of 27. The house had more than enough space and is set in some beautiful countryside. The pool is very refreshing, maybe a little too cold. The paddle tennis court was a big hit with lots of our group and we loved having big long lunches out on the lawn. Our only criticism is the lack of sun loungers, but all in all we had fantastic week and would recommend this to any large group looking for some Sun and relaxation.

Summary: Do not hesitate in booking this villa! We stayed here for a week at the beginning of September 2016, a group of 12 adults and a baby. We were warmly greeted by Virginia, who was always available and willing to help if we had any problems. The villa and grounds were well kept and extremely clean. It was very spacious inside the house, even with 12 people. The bedrooms were generous in size, a couple of box rooms at the top of the stairs but brilliant for a mixed group of people/couples/singles or families. The pool is a good size, a little cold but perfect when the sun was out! It was great to have an outside area big enough that we could all eat together and sit in the evenings. The kitchen is well equipped, plenty of plates/cutlery/glasses for everyone (and more!) The only negative is that it would be great to have more pool side loungers, as there is only space for four (lying down loungers). It didn't really affect us as we used the grass and other chairs but it would have been nice to all be able to lie by the pool at the same time! We all had such a brilliant time, I wouldn't hesitate to book again.

Summary: Had a fabulous time at this amazing house! Virginia could not have been more wonderful from booking to helping us with the area. She is as incredible to work with as the house is to stay in! Beautiful living space and incredible fun recreational space! Our group of multiple families loved our stay, and wish we could have stayed longer!

Summary: I would recommend this home for a large group. We a party of 13 came from Australia and stayed 2 weeks in July 2013 for and International sporting event. The property was spotless and clean and there was ample space and the pool magnificent, the hosts Verginia and German were wonderful and helpful and we all would return again. The home is situated in a small valley and town a short drive to all ameneties and tourist attractions. We had this house as a base and travelled North to France and then south to Gibralter, just magnificent :) Karen

Summary: Lovely house (we lived on the wide veranda), beautiful garden and loads to do around the house - everyone loved the paddle court and we all want one now! Tranquil "edge of the village" setting allowed for very peaceful days by the pool. Fantastic climate, with cooler evenings for sleeping and lovely hot but not scorching days. Trips to Santo Domingo di Silos, Yecla and to Panefiel well worth it. Pick-your-own fruit (amazing cherries) and veg went down very well. Thank you Virginia and German.
