Positive: There are so many positive things to say, but Alessandra was a fantastic host and we loved having a wonderful location directly on the straits of Messina with a large terrace with several seating and lounging areas and a beach just below. Ale helped us arrange an unforgettable 4 hour boat trip across the straits to Scilla and the Calabrian coast, and she allowed us to host a large group of family members (both traveling with us and local relatives) to enjoy the space. We were able to easily spend time with family in Ganzirri, Torre Faro and Sperone and always felt welcomed and cared for. We could do laundry and cook in the outdoor kitchen, and each bedroom has an en-suite bathroom making for great time management and privacy traveling with our teenage son. I can’t recommend Casa di Ale enough!

Positive: Comfortable, air-conditioned rooms with a seaside resort ambiance, private beach and outstanding views of the Strait of Messina. Exceptional hospitality. Excellent trattorias nearby.

Negative: Location was a little bit awkward without a car, but accessible by taxi and public bus.

Summary: We enjoyed exceptionally warm hospitality from Alesandra, in her beautiful, quiet haven by the beach

Positive: Our stay at Casa de Ale in Messina was an absolute delight! The hosts, Ale and Antonello, were exceptional, making us feel truly welcome. The villa itself was beautifully styled with traditional Sicilian charm, and having our own terrace with private beach access was a highlight. Being within walking distance to supermarkets and dining options made our stay convenient and enjoyable. My husband did the Messina Strait swim and this was an ideal base. Overall, a perfect 10/10 for an unforgettable Sicilian seaside experience!

Negative: We did not like leaving.

Positive: Fantastic location, right on the sea front of the Straits of Messina. Great private garden and two cabin like rooms in a secure area, with access to a private beach. The kitchen area was outdoors in the garden and had wonderful views of the sea whilst having a morning coffee and watching the ships sail by. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and hospitable. Restaurants and shops were a short walk away.

Summary: Great location for a peaceful get away and to explore Messina and nearby areas.

Positive: We loved our stay at La Casa Di Ale. The host was so sweet and accommodating, bringing us special treats. The facility was absolutely beautiful and extremely well kept. Such a beautiful view of the sea and your own private beach to enjoy. Are only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer. One of our favorite stays in all of Sicily.

Positive: The host was amazing. We had a massive outside area approx 100 square metres. Air conditioning was very effective. Able to walk out the back gate of property and into the ocean. A private beach with an umbrella and deck chairs. The property is close to amazing restaurants, which the host booked for us. At one restaurant, our table was less than a metre from the shore. I found out later that it was our host who got us the best table in the restaurant. I felt like a celebrity. The host's partner drove us to Messina Central Railway station at the end of our stay at no cost. When I offered him money (twice) at the station to cover petrol, he refused to accept it. They get very few overseas tourists, mainly Italians seeking a seaside vacation. The world is missing out on an authentic Sicilian experience. In the words of a past Californian governor, "I'll be back". I am not American, but I like his movies.
