Positive: Our stay at La Girarde was absolutely wonderful. The property is stunning - a beautifully renovated house surrounded by a large, impeccably maintained garden. Everything reflects the care and experience of the owners, Marc and Trish, who both have a background in the hotel industry and clearly know what makes guests feel at home. From the warm welcome and detailed tour upon arrival to the quiet professionalism throughout our stay, everything felt perfectly organized. Our room was very spacious, tastefully furnished, and thoughtfully lit, with a high standard of finish and several cosy sitting areas. The bed was large with fine cotton bed linen, a light summer duvet, and two pillow options for extra comfort. The bathroom was equally generous, with a separate toilet and beautiful ecological toiletries in refillable Hammam Spa bottles - a detail we truly appreciated. The large, soft towels added a touch of luxury. Guests can also enjoy the elegant salon, several outdoor seating areas, and the superb saltwater pool. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly everywhere, and we were impressed by how calm and harmonious the whole place felt. Marc and Trish told us about the renovations they carried out themselves - together with their two sons - and it shows in every detail: craftsmanship, comfort, and quiet elegance. Positive: What a great property and such welcoming hosts - thank you Trish. We were visiting friends and were made to feel most welcome. The property has been refurbished to the highest standards, our room was large, airy and very comfortable. The lounge and dining room were lovely and breakfast was plentiful and perfect to start the day. The grounds were lovely but we did not get the chance to try the pool. We will do so on our next trip. Thank you again trish.

Positive: Mark and Trish have created a very large beautiful family home - which they share with their guests. They are extremely hospitable and welcoming. The house and rooms are stunning. Spotlessly clean and such tasteful decor. Nice thick curtains to ensure a dark room for a good nights sleep. Lots of lovely touches like fresh flowers on the dining table, good quality toiletries in the large bathroom, flannels as well towels provided - soft fluffy ones too (this stuff is important!), and a generous fresh breakfast. In the evenings - we always like tea - hot water was available in the dining room from the coffee machine and Trish provided mugs. Dinner available if you wish to do half board. Easy parking. Great location to visit many places (Duras, Gensac, Bergerac etc) in a fantastic region of france. A fantastic 2 day stay here.

Positive: A beautiful home, fabulous location, amazing hosts! Lovely gardens, a wonderful pool and sunny terrace. Had a delicious home cooked supper, we were given great tips for things to do locally, and wonderful places to eat and sample wines of the region.
