Summary: This is quite a unique property with trains you can stay in! We unfortunately couldn't get a train but we booked a small cabin for a family of four. We had two bunk beds and a full-sized bed with two separate rooms was cozy but we made it work. The bathrooms were clean minus the collection of spiders in the far corner but they didn't bother us. The pool was great and the hosts were amazing and communicative. We loved it and look forward to returning.

Summary: Booked the caboose in August 2025 for a trip in August 2026 Received confirmation then and again 2 weeks prior to trip. On arrival I was told they had double booked but they had a different train car . It was OK but disappointed they gave mine to someone else. Very cramped but for 1 night....we survived.

Summary: Didn't realize our cabin didn't have its own bathroom. We had stayed previously and that cabin did. Otherwise, really love this site and the hosts are really friendly and helpful. We accidentally left my husband's jacket and they called and got it returned to us.

Summary: We arrived at about 10:00 pm and had a very difficult time getting into our room. No one was in the office, the directions left for us were unclear & the code to enter the cabin turned out to be incorrect. I urge management to write a step-by-step, accurate description of how to access a cabin when staff is not available. But someone did eventually answer the “emergency” phone number and helped us get in. The cabin is beautiful and very clean. One difficulty for Seniors: there is no bathroom in the cabin we rented. A shared bathroom is in a separate building. The office staff was very nice and kindly contacted me when my adult daughter left her ear-buds in the cabin.

Summary: We really enjoyed the accommodations especially for our dogs! Booking through Hotels.com required that I pay the $20 dog fee and more tax at the campground which was fine. The owner communicated this prior to check-in. Just wanted to let other travelers know to expect those.
