Summary: We came to stay at Mont St Michel and see the abbaye. The check-in process was crazy easy! Our room was up a few flights of stairs so if you are handicap/wheelchair bound or unable to walk stairs I recommend not visiting Mont St Michel. The entire mont is hills and stairs. Upon entering our room we realized there was no AC (it’s June!). If planning to visit you might want to plan your visit around the fall or spring when the weather is cooler. The evenings cool off but the days are warm. Our hotel was nice but basic, don’t expect frills. There were no bathroom amenities (lotion, shower cap, cotton pads, tissues, etc), no shower curtain or shower door (water everywhere when showering), the toilet was next to the shower and very cramped, no robe or slippers, and no fan to help circulate air in absence of AC.

Summary: It was close to the entrance of Mont Saint Michel, making it easier to walk to with backpacks. We loved staying there at night.

Summary: Stayed on Mont St Michel island loved location. Was in middle of everything Problem booking never explained 2 things: 1- u need take bus to get on island, we could have taken less luggage. 2-description never stated 4th floor walk up! It was a real chore especially w/all luggage. Advance listing/notice would hav been nice!

Summary: We loved staying on Mont St. Michel. Being on the island once the masses of tourist buses have departed for the day made the experience feel very magical. The hotel itself was fantastic. The room was very clean and full of character, with historic touches but still modern furnishes. The bathroom had 2 different showers (a larger bathtub shower combo and a smaller stand up stall shower). Laying in bed we could look out over the rooftops of the historic village and onto the mud flats and the bay. Note that a stay here includes climbing LOTS of steps — pack light. To get to our room from street level, it required climbing 125 steps (around 90 exterior steps to get to the building where the room was and then another 35 inside the building to get up to the room). For us, for the view and the feeling of being removed from the real world, it was completely worth it. But definitely not a good option if you can’t handle climbing stairs. Breakfast was good, and is back at street level in a separate building.

Summary: Key collected from an office, not the hotel you see online, up a flight of steep stone steps. Climbed another flight of steep stone steps to access the "green door" which led to a further 4 flights of stairs up to a small room. Room was tired, in need of a deep clean, thick dust around carpet edges/skirting boards. Toilet seat was not secure. Shower over bath, no shower curtain/screen. Hand soap dispenser broken. Bed/bedding/towels clean and satisfactory. Kettle provided with 2 sachets of coffee. Fridge not working and no bottled water provided. I would not recommend this hotel, oversold and undelivered

Summary: This was an awesome experience staying on Mont Michel. So quiet in the evening when most of the tourists are off the island. Just a note, all steps. No disability friendly. Hotel was wonderful, no elevator.

Summary: Amazon room with a beautiful view. It’s a lot of stairs but well worth it. Also the restaurant is amazing. Have the duck or the omelette. We will return!!!

Summary: Yes, it's one of the few hotels on mont saint michel and obviously you are paying extra for that location. I booked this room so I could stay on the island in the evening and early morning without the crowds, which worked great. I did not expect much else since the whole place is full of crappy souvenir shops and low effort restaurants. It makes sense because most people visit once in their life so there is no expectation of repeat customers anyway, and the same goes for hotels so I expected it to be pretty bad. The room was a bit worn (paint falling off the door, loose tiles in the bathroom) but clean, and one of the biggest rooms I've seen in France so far (my room was in the annex building Maison Rouge) and it had a bathtub as well. Breakfast was pretty average but at least it was included in the price instead of gouging people for another 20 or so. Obviously you could get a lot more luxury for the same I price elsewhere, but elsewhere is not on mont saint Michel.
