Positive: The hotel is in the perfect location - front line to Mont St Michel. We booked a room with partial views and that's exactly what we got. The room and balcony were large and comfortable. For the location alone, I'd return.

Negative: Sadly, I feel this would have been a once very grand hotel, however it felt a bit less than 4 star to us. Corridor carpets were badly stained and smelled off. Our room, once very luxurious I'm sure, felt a bit tired and definitely in need of upgrading. For a 4 star residence, we found breakfast pretty awful - cheap offerings and little variety. The whole place just needs tlc to be honest - resting on its laurels I feel, due to the fabulous location.

Positive: Great location. Very clean. Towel warmer!

Negative: Night clerk was very rude. Refused to arrange a taxi for our departure. Lady the next morning did it instantly. Created a lot of unnecessary stress for us all night!!

Summary: Very good. Restaurant could serve lunch as well as breakfast and dinner.

Negative: 1 The room was very stuffy, likely due to poor ventilation. A fan and an open window didn’t help (I stayed in late April–early May, so it’s hard to imagine how it would be in summer) 2. The room felt worn and outdated 3. Dirty windows on the scenic terrace where breakfast is served

Positive: Best situated hotel overlooking Mont St Michel. Good size comfortable rooms, immaculately clean. Friendly helpful staff AND welcoming to our pup.

Negative: The outside architecture is a bit brutalist.

Summary: Better than expected. Can thoroughly reccomend.

Positive: Beautiful view of Mount Saint Michel!! Floor-to-ceiling window looking out onto our balcony with Mount St. Michel in full view. Comfortable upholstered chairs around a small table created a lovely sitting area to sit and sip wine, chat & play cards. Small fridge supplied 4 bottles of water. Comfortable beds. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious and convenient with great service. The complimentary breakfast was a pretty extensive spread & delicious.

Negative: We were unaware that they no longer light up Mount St. Michel after dark. That was a major disappointment since one of the reasons we booked a room here was to be able to view it all lit up. Apparently, they stopped illuminating it after dark back during covid and have never resumed. When we asked hotel staff they couldn't give a reason. There were 2 bedrooms in our suite with 2 bathrooms (sink/shower) but only one water closet. With 4 of us staying in the suite, it was a busy little room!

Summary: Beautiful full view of Mount Saint Michel.

Positive: Best location for Mont Saint Michel 30min walk by foot or free shuttle bus outside Only hotel with Mont Saint Michel view

Negative: They have a magnificent view of Mont Saint Michel from the restaurant But they don’t clean the window, full of bird poo, stained from rain water etc Such shame, they should be proud of the hotel and make sure that window is clean all the time. I saw other people complaining about the dirty window, so obviously they don’t care.
