Positive: The accommodation was very comfortable with all modern facilities. We felt at home as we had everything that we needed! The decor was very stylish. There is parking on site for your car. The owners Anne & Bruno were lovely, very friendly, welcoming and helpful :making reservations for restaurants and wine tastings for us . They also gave us a lovely bottle of local red wine when we arrived. We had an amazing stay at the accommodation.

Negative: Nothing at all to dislike!:-))

Positive: The setting was absolutely beautiful and very private. The accommodations were really comfortable and spacious, and the kitchen had everything you could need. We especially loved the gardens and talking to the property owners. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting outside in the evening with a glass of wine, some cheese and a baguette and looking at the gardens— the roses were in full bloom. (We were there in early June.) It’s clear the owners love meeting people and sharing their love of the area. Also, the wines of the Chinon region were excellent. Next time I need to remember to pack a bigger suitcase so I can bring back more wine. Two other things that we really appreciated: the owners spoke English very well and there was parking right in front. We had such an amazing time, we did not want to leave. Thank you Bruno! Good luck with the marathon :)

Positive: ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING! Our stay the cottage at La Penesais hosted by Anne and Bruno was that good that I am writing this review! The location is perfect as you are basically between 2 towns! Parking in front of the cottage was also a plus! It was extremely clean and well stocked. A full stocked kitchen (with an oven) should you choose to make home cooked meals (which we did)! It was honestly the perfect place to stay in this area, only being 50 mins away from Tours train station! Would absolutely go back and recommend to a friend! A Plus is their dog Lou who greets you when you arrive and is sad when you check out!
