Summary: Enjoyed a lovely week around Vicenza, Verona, Soave and Garda. Barbara was very welcoming and gave some great tips for places to shop and eat. Our children particularly enjoyed the pool. The house had everything we needed, and was perfectly private from other apartments.

Summary: The appartment, we stayed in La Stalla, was very well equiped en very comfortable. The wether was warm, so we really enjoyed the airconditioning in our bedrooms and living room. The house was spacious enough for our party of 7. We very much enjoyed the pool, even though we seemed to be a bit too noisy in our ball game. We highly recommend this property!

Summary: Impeccably kept and beautifully designed "gem" in this very lovely, quiet area of Colognola ai Colli. Barbara and her family have beautifully furnished this lovely casa for you to relax and enjoy! The kitchen is beautiful, bathrooms "4 star", enormous windows open up to a beautiful country scene. Loved hearing the church bells throughout the day, making it even more magical. Don't miss the village and Castle of Soave, so close by. We will definitely share this "find" with friends who travel to Italy and hopefully, we will return one day. We all wished we'd had more time to explore this area, coming home to our storybook villa.

Summary: The villa was more than just accommodation to support our visits into Verona, Venice and the vineyards of this wonderful region - in itself it was an experience that added to our pleasure of being in Italy. Carlo was a superb host and it was a delight to meet his Mother too and learn a little history of this family and the surrounding areas.

Summary: We absolutely loved La Stalla....set amongst vineyards on the hill below Colognola Ai Coli, the area is absolutely beautiful. We initially booked one week, but kept extending and ended up spending three weeks there. We are on an extended road trip with four young kids, and found this just the perfect base to explore this area of Italy from. We went to Verona, Lake Garda, Venice and many other little towns over our time there. One day we walked into the surrounding hills and stumbled across the most excellent agriturisimo restaurant that we just loved! We did the walk from the villa up to the church and bell tower above it numerous times, and found the whole area great for long walks. The villa itself is wonderful. We stayed in La Stalla, which is the large villa on the property (this is a fairly large property, with a big main house, and two stand-alone villas, all wonderfully secluded with their own private yards and huge high green shrubs separating everything). Our place seemed to be over 200sq meters, with a huge downstairs, a big living area, another sitting area, a long dining area and the kitchen with three very large bedrooms upstairs off of a large landing. Two big fully appointed bathrooms and one half bath. Beautiful wood floors upstairs, soft comfortable beds and wonderfully well-kept, custom bathrooms. Originally built by one of the owners to live in, the place is wonderfully thought out, with a big comfy living area downstairs, plenty of space for storage and clothes and books and things. We loved waking up to the big round window in our bedroom overlooking the vineyards, and the fresh clean air. The boys loved playing outside in the yard, and there is a big outdoor pool just seconds away from our villa front door with wonderful views over the valley and big large open spaces to sit on and enjoy the sun and water. Barbara and Carlo, the owners, were wonderful and always helpful with questions and we really enjoyed having them close by as we had questions about places to go. Barbara stayed in the main house across the main central area, and the property is so large that although there are other guests as well as Barbara, you have complete seclusion and privacy in your own area. Barbara also recommended and booked a wonderful Italian restaurant our first night there, which we return to later in the week and fell in love with the food and wonderful owner, who became almost a private chef for us the nights we went.
