Positive: A very spacious and comfortable apartment with a fantastic private outdoor sitting area ( two big tables, one in the shade, sun loungers, bbq) and laundry facilities. The location - on the outskirts of the town - is very quiet and peaceful as the house is surrounded by gardens and groves.. You can see Etna from the garden and the living room. The owners are lovely, hospitable and unobtrusive. This place is very well suited to longer stays.

Positive: This was our favourite apartment that we stayed in on our Sicily trip. Just outside the city centre of Randazzo – a lovely town - in a nice setting. The ground floor apartment was very clean and extremely comfortable. Modern in style but with some ‘homey’ pieces as well. Very comfortable beds, a very well stocked kitchen, a washing machine and an outstanding outdoor area made this a great place to stay. The owners were lovely people and were great to communicate with. It’s a great base to explore the Mt Etna area. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Positive: A beautiful appartment with its own garden and view on mount Etna. I would highly recommend to use a car to get to the appartment. Anyhow, the city of Randazzo is in walking distance with some good local restaurants. Most important: The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Still there is all the privacy required for a relaxed stay.

Positive: Beautiful garden, large and comfortable home. Everything was provided to make your stay as perfect as possible. I especially loved the quality of the sheets and towels. The house was designed with quality, not just contemporary furnishings like in your typical Airbnb that has no personality. It felt very Italian.

Positive: This was our second visit to La Tavernetta. It will not be our last. We fell in love with this place back in 2019 and were wanting to get back in 2021 until, well you know what happened. Nicola and Tina are the most amazing people who we can call friends. We took advantage of Nicola’s excursion to Mt. Etna and it did not disappoint. He took us to a different location to climb the mountain this time and the day was spectacular and with the knowledge of the past and present he gave us a wonderful experience. La Tavernetta offers a tranquil view of the mountain every morning. It is clean and they go out of their way to ask us if there is anything that we need. The location also offers grocery stores within a few minutes. So if you want to cook your own food you have that available to you. It is also very close to the downtown area of shops, restaurant and coffee bars.

Positive: This is an exceptional property and I wish we could have stayed longer. The guest apartment is located downstairs from the main house and is quite large and spacious. It is very well appointed with everything you could need, including beer and alcohol. The owners are wonderful and took care of our every need. A bonus is the large garden and outdoor area as well as a balcony off the back of the apartment. There are two bathrooms! This would be a great home base for day trips around the area. I recommend it highly!
