Positive: Ibu (Ibson) and his team have created a great small hotel at La Teranga. Clean and tastefully decorated rooms with A/C, hotel bar, good breakfast, small plunge pool to cool off, quiet area. Ibu also runs a beach bar next to the public jetty which serves very good food and drinks. He can also arrange boat trips into the Delta (I recommend the afternoon trip to Shell Island and the Pelican Dormitory).

Negative: Like much of Senegal sadly, lots of rubbish in the surrounding streets, but La Terenga itself is a clean and calm oasis.

Summary: Comfortable small hotel with good breakfast, plunge pool and Delta boat trips.

Positive: Beautiful accommodation, the room was really big, comfortable and nicely decorated. Breakfast was very good.

Negative: Staff was a bit inattentive. One day we were quietly having breakfast and listening to the birds when a staff member decided to sit on a table next to us to watch videos on his cellphone very loudly during the whole time we were there. Some things in our room hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. Dinner is quite expensive compared to other restaurants in the area. Location is a bit far away from restaurants and shops.

Positive: The place is really well decorated and the rooms are comfortable. The hot water and the air conditioner work properly. The manager there is really helpful and kind, he deal with all of our requests without problems (thanks a lot for that!). The breakfast is really good. There is a pool, not really a big one, is small for a big group of people, but at least you have pool and you can relax around it so is actually really a highlight.

Negative: The dinner option is quite expensive compared to the average prices of the place.
