This house is a one story 2000 sq ft, 4 bedroom, 2 bath lagoon home on a cul-du-sac that was completely updated and remodeled 6 years ago. It is situated on a very quiet street with neighbors to the side as the width of the lagoon makes a rear fence unnecessary. You will see a lawn, trees and shrubs, a dock, water and water birds. There are covered and wind protected sitting areas in the front and back. The extensively landscaped gardens, classic redwood fencing and lagoon offers privacy, beauty and serenity seldom found in urban homes.
The interior consist of a formal living room and open floor area that includes dining area, kitchen and family room. Granite counter tops, SS sink and appliances and a large island are found in the fully equipped kitchen area. Grohe fixtures are used throughout the house, The 3 bedrooms with queen size beds are carpet with the designated kid’s room having the continuous cherry hard wood flooring. The baths have high end porcelain bowls and the whole house is set off with crown molding. The interior environment is quiet and very stable throughout the year due to radiant floor heating, heavily insulated walls/ceilings and the perfect Bay Area weather.

Summary: Lagoon House was the perfect Bay Area spot for our holiday gathering. It was easy to get to, and easy to maneuver into SF and Oakland for outings. Mostly though, we stayed in and enjoyed the peacefulness of this space. The home is beautiful, and the outdoor spaces are amazing. The kitchen has all the items we needed for full-on holiday feasting.The owner was kind and responsive.

Summary: We had a great time at the Lagoin house. We are close to family and could go to SF and Berkeley easily. We did have a car but you could use bart too.

Summary: 3 friends flew in to enjoy their first trip to Bay Area and to renew friendship of 56 years. House was perfect inside and a great jumping off point for everything East Bay.

Summary: We have adult children all over the US. We travel often to visit and usually stay at VRBOs. This time, one of our children was getting married in Alameda and we had family gathering for the wedding. There were 8 of us at the house. Everything was as describe and better. The house was well-appointed with all that is needed for a family to enjoy their stay and cook in the beautiful kitchen. The furniture was in mint condition, the beds clean and comfortable and the general setting quite lovely. Communication with the owner was instantaneous despite different time zones. It was a wonderful experience. If you're going to Alameda for any reason, this place is a must! You will not regret it.

Summary: Beautiful house and gardens. Loved the backyard patio on the water. Great place to hang out and reconnect with family in Alameda. Also great location to take ferry to visit San Fran. Everything went well with the rental but could have used grab bar by bath for elderly mom. But all in all had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend.

Summary: The family takes an annual trip. This year was slightly different due to an expected new member of the family. This beautiful house provided a wonderful base of operations and relaxing nature that balanced a Hawaii and So Cal lifestyle with plenty of places to relax and decompress. Great spot!

Summary: Love the happy Hawaiian decor. Clean and easy. Beautiful water. Would stay again! Proximity to airport: 5-stars Easy to find: 5-stars Comfort: 5-stars Proximity to shops/attractions/etc: 5-stars I selected "Just Me" on the "Who Stayed" question because the choice labeled "Other" didn't work when I clicked it. My company used this VRBO for a quarterly leadership offsite meeting.

Summary: House is very well laid out for extended family stay. Big kitchen! The backyard and patio were excellent places to hang out for long periods of time. Even though its only a small lagoon, being on the water is very relaxing.
