Positive: The apartment we stayed in was precious, the different levels provided some continuity and yet separation and privacy. The views from the floor to ceiling glass windows were fantastic, and they also opened to provide plenty of fresh air. Very accessible outdoor space. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had basic supplies and was spacious.The help was very present, attentive and personable.
Negative: The three dogs greeted us with loud barking every time we entered or exited, somewhat understandable as they were alerting the managers that someone was in the area. It was when they barked at us sitting on our terrace or when they joined in with the chorus of neighborhood dogs barking throughout the night that was irritating, sometimes making it difficult to sleep. The only other suggestion I might have is that the lights in the kitchen were dim and not placed well to assist in food preparation, dishwashing or cooking. We were always working in the shadows. . We also found out that after the initial supply we were responsible for water, which was indicated, but also toilet paper, coffee filters etc. We would have appreciated that being more explicitly explained in the check-in information.

Positive: The house was well laid out. It had big windows on the front and a balcony to sit on. Property was well secured and we always felt safe in the house. The caretaker was very helpful at all times.
Negative: The driveway up to the house is very steep and would be difficult for someone with mobility issues but so is most of San Miguel. Thankfully, we are fit. The house is equipped with heavily used items which seems at odds with what we paid to stay there. It was challenging to cook in the kitchen with what was provided. That being said, we were able to make it work for us.
Summary: We were able to overcome our issues and enjoy our stay in San Miguel.
