4 Bedroom Cabin in Gaylord

Large 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom cabin, steps from beautiful Heart Lake in northern Michigan. Sparkling deep lake in a gorgeous wooded setting allows you to relax while enjoying water sports, fishing, working from home or reading a book. All sports lake: fishing, boating, skiing, paddleboards and kayaks all allowed on the lake. Lake has no wake from 6:30 pm until 10:00 am allowing for quiet evenings and mornings on the deck.
Hike, bike, ORV or snowmobile right from the front door!
A 30 to 60 minute drive will have you in Mackinac City, Boyne Mountain, Traverse City or some other great destination locations!
For winter, the cottage is just 100 yards from one of the main snowmobile trails that connect with hundreds of miles of other trails. Nearby Treetops has downhill skiing and the cottage is close to the Otsego Ski Club. With some of the best snowfall in Michigan, Otsego County is in the heart of all of the winter activities including cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and sledding.
The house includes 2 two-car garages -- one attached and one detached -- so you can leave your recreational toys if you rent more than a week or a month allowing you to travel back and forth downstate. Snowmobiles will be allowed in the detached garage only
The house includes a large master bedroom with a king bed and large private bath, the second bedroom is over the garage and includes a king bed plus an open area with a double bed and a sitting area and a private bath, third bedroom with a double bed off the living area, the fourth bedroom is a loft with three single beds and a queen bed. There is a third bath off the living area. The living/dining area is open with a vaulted ceiling and windows that look out on the lake. Total the house sleeps 13

Summary: We cooked a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and this house had a wonderful kitchen with everything we needed. Great place to sstay. We would definitely come back!

Summary: The property had everything we needed, the owner even left us some firewood which we made good use of. The beach is very nice and maintained; my husband caught a couple of bass off of the dock. Loved seeing/hearing the pair of loons that are on the lake. For anyone with kids, there’s a county park just a short walk from the house that has a lot to do- including a swing glider which even the adults loved. We hope to be able to come back next year.

Summary: This is the 3rd year we’ve rented this house for our family vacation. The kids enjoyed the lake and the swim platform and our daughter’s boyfriend brought his boat and he caught lots of fish. The house is plenty big and we love sitting on the back deck enjoying our morning coffee. We’ve already booked the house for next year!

Summary: This is the second year we've stayed at the property. House is great for a family. We have seven adults and two kids and there's room for a couple more. Kids spent many hours swimming in the lake. We're still figuring out the fishing but there's potential. We've already booked for next year.

Summary: We had a great time at this property! Our 5 year old begged us to stay longer and said he wanted to live there. That being said, the kitchen was sufficiently stocked, the bathrooms (3 full) were all clean and stocked, the living spaces had great furniture, the deck was great for relaxing and our 2 families loved using the kayaks. The swim area was nice, and lots of shade to sit and watch kids play. We had 4 adults and 7 children from 5-14 years old. We cooked almost all of our meals there and used the grill. Downtown gaylord is 15 min away with aldi family fare and walmart. We spent an afternoon at Otsego Lake State Park as well. The loft got a little warm but there were fans to use. It did not get above 88 while we were there and it was 60 overnight. We would definitely stay here again!

Summary: Our family of 6 had a great time at the house. We had plenty of room for all with adequate privacy. A game table and a dining table. A gazebo on the lake. Great little beach and play area. Only complaint is that the carpet really needs a good cleaning or replacing. Everything else was good.
