ALL RENTS WILL BE DISCOUNTED 15% FOR ALL RENTALS BETWEEN LABOR DAY AND MEMORIAL DAY. THIS INCLUDES SPRING AND FALL 2025 RENTALS.
Our property is 100% smoke free. This includes the smoking of marijuana products on our property. Smoking or the use of marijuana products on the property will result in termination of the reservation with no refund and a $200.00 clean up fee. Please note if you smell of marijuana and bring the smell into the house your reservation will be terminated with no refund and a $200.00 clean up fee.
We are excited and looking forward to sharing our vacation property with our 2025 guests. This year we are opening earlier than in the past years and offering an 15% discount in the Spring and Fall. Our guests this year will enjoy some new updates that we have made to our Pink House. A new refrigerator and bathroom surround have been added. We have also replaced both mattresses with new Full Size mattresses and we are providing a new propane gas outdoor grill. We already have several reservations, so please reserve early and we will be happy to work with you to arrange a wonderful stay with us along Lake Michigan's shore line.
Our property is approximately 2 acres of 100 year old trees with a 100 foot deeded clean sandy beach in southwest Michigan's Harbor Country. We sit on a bluff above Lake Michigan with beautiful scenic views and evening sunsets. Our beach access is just a short walk back to the entrance to our private road, where there is a locked gated access to our shared stairway to the beach.
We have a very quaint country cottage, with a relaxing comforting atmosphere.
This listing for the 'Pink House' is perfect for a small family of 2 to 4 people. It has two bedrooms (both rooms have full size beds), a living room / kitchenette, a dining room and one bath. Bedding, sheets, blankets and pillow cases included but guests must bring their own towels for bathing and the beach.
All guests have use of a brand new gas grill, picnic table, chairs and fire pits. Firewood is provided.
Absorb yourself in a sun-basked adventure on our sugar sand beach. Enjoy a quiet excursion through a local vineyard or distillery or an open air garden market where the scent of fresh grown vegetables and fruit blossoms prevail. Visit a unique assortment of shops and businesses. In the evening you can find yourself overlooking the shores of Lake Michigan and it's beautiful sunsets.
If your looking for evening excitement or night life the Four Winds Casino with its live shows, Casino Gaming, vast buffet and great restaurants are only a 5 minute ride from our property.
Regardless if you have planned a romantic evening along the lake shore or gather with locals at a nearby bistro, you’ll discover expectations satisfied. Southwest Michigan is filled with countryside parks, primeval forests, dune buggy rides, water slides, jet skiing, sailing, salmon fishing, golf courses, theaters, museums, wineries, galleries, antique and outlet malls, and much more. Harbor Country attracts thousands of visitors each year while vast assortments of ethnic food eateries satisfy the heartiest of appetites. You can experience all of this in a quaint, relaxing and quiet country atmosphere.
**PLEASE NOTE: this property is located a short walk from our shared beach access above Lake Michigan and there are approximately 100 stairs down to the beach. People with health issues may find this to be a difficult climb when returning to the house.

Summary: First off.. the property owners are so very kind and accommodating! This little pink cottage is a sisters delight, we thought it was absolutely adorable and, loved the privacy. The walk to the beach is worth every step and, we called the gate you walk through “the gate to heaven!” We enjoyed every part of our stay.. the worst part was having to leave.

Summary: It's a great location. It's quiet and no road traffic so very relaxing. Every morning we watched the birds in the yard from the dining room table while sipping coffee which was our favorite thing to do. The cottage itself isn't huge. it's truly a nice getaway for those that need to simplify their lives for a few days. It's exactly what's needed to enjoy the beach and all the feelings of nature with breweries and restaurants not overly far away. The beds are a little small for two people and the bathroom is cramped but it's manageable. I'm 6' and 200lbs, GF is 5'7 and 120ish and we managed but any bigger might be tough in the same bed. The walk to the beach is only 4-5 min and you don't have to walk on any serious roads. The owners were very helpful and friendly when I asked them about anything. I didn't need much but when I did they responded with information I needed. I would definitely recommend this for those looking for the original feel of union pier/lakeside area. That's truly what this is all about

Summary: We loved the pink cottage- super clean, amazing public beach and equipped kitchen. We floated in the water, walked the beach, went antiquing and ate out in new Buffalo. This is a perfect spot! Jim is very accessible and accommodating!!

Summary: this is a nice beach cottage. it is a little small and in ok condition, but overall delightful. two things that bothered us: the beds are old and too soft, and they do not provide bath towels.

Summary: The house was perfect for my sister and I. This was our 3rd trip to MI and the best house we have stayed in so far - in fact we want to book with this property next year. The proximity to the beach was great - it being a private beach was especially nice - no other folks on the beach but us! The owners of the house were very accommodating and very easy to communicate with.

Summary: Easy access to a beautiful, private beach. Plenty of outdoor space with a fire pit and outside eating area more than make up for the small cabin size. The location is also within walking distance to a restaurant as well as a coffee/lunch shop. Overall, we had a great stay.
