Summary: It was so quiet the first week of October. It was like we had the lake to ourselves. The cottage is well stocked and clean. The pictures are very accurate. Be advised that there is a lot of lake grass which would not be great for swimming. The use of the kayaks and canoe was such a plus. Would definitely come back in early October again!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay in Pleasant Bay! Location is proximate to everything we were looking for. Great hiking, biking, exploring Middlebury, Burlington, and all that VT has to offer. Kayaking off the little pier was beautiful, both in early morning and evening. Having all the watercraft available was a great value! Lodging was as advertised. Perfect for two couples and the well-appointed kitchen/grill area made it easy for us to dine in if we weren’t going to eat out. James was very responsive to any questions we had. We’d choose to stay here again if the opportunity were to arise in the future. Thanks for a great week!

Summary: The house was comfortable. The pictures are accurate. The deck and deck furniture badly need cleaning/pressure washing. The location is not good for swimming as the water is overgrown with grass. Also there are so many boats that it is difficult to get one out and into water. The cement pier is okay for entering and exiting small boats.

Summary: Our best experience ever with a short rental on Lake Champlain! We loved the deck and grill / fire pit, the use of the kayaks. The beds were great and living area/kitchen had all we needed. Everything about the cottage felt recently upgraded and clean. James was so easy to deal with on any question. We look forward to returning next year!
