Positive: Beautiful country setting with well-manicured lawn and spectacular gardens! The Inn was very clean and well-organized, offering breakfast amenities, the staff was very friendly, and the room was just the right size for our family of three. The location is convenient for travel, close to the Charlotte-Essex ferry. There were two differences from a hotel setting which we liked: There are no televisions in the rooms, but there is a large television in the common room / breakfast area. There are no refrigerators in the rooms, but there is a refrigerator for guest use in the hallway. Both of these differences kept the room open and quiet, which was conducive to relaxation and sleep!

Negative: We had no issues with any part of our visit!

Summary: Beautiful country setting, well-maintained grounds, friendly staff, clean, quiet and relaxing.

Positive: Pleasant and personable staff. Large, clean room and bathroom. Chocolate chip cookies before bed a nice touch. No important complaints.

Negative: Snack breakfast could be a little more robust (e.g. adding hard boiled eggs and a toaster for bread). Would have liked the option of a bar of soap to supplement liquid body cleansers. Can't really comment on location; it's all a matter of patron's destination, but it was easy to find.
