This lower level unit features fabulous views of the lake from the living room, dining room and kitchen. Recently remodeled, it features granite counter tops in the kitchen, tile floors, and plush carpet in the bedrooms. A sliding door off the dining area leads to the covered patio and the lake. It has 2 comfortable bedrooms, both with a queen size beds. The living room has a queen size sleeper sofa. A full bath and a laundry room with washer and drier are also included. The living room includes a flat screen TV with DISH, Netflix and a DVD player. The kitchen features full size appliances, including a dishwasher so you can spend more time on the lake.
Grill dinner on the gas grill while sitting on the patio enjoying the lake life or spend the evening roasting marshmallows around the fire. If you don't feel like cooking, Westwood Bar and Grill is just a short walk or boat ride away. Use of the dock is included, with space to tie up your boat, fish and swim. Use of our paddle boat, kayaks, splash pad and canoe included. Lake Washington has a max depth of 45 feet, covers 1500 acres and is home to sunfish, northern pike, walleye, large mouth bass, crappies, and perch. Other wildlife often seen includes Bald Eagles, Muskrats, Foxes, Canadian Geese, Trumpeter Swans, Loons, and a wide variety of song birds.
Location also available for crafting weekends, tables and chairs provided.
Our location is a few miles from both Mankato and St. Peter, which offer many activities if you want time away from the lake. The Mankato Moondogs (amateur baseball team), shopping, hiking and biking trails and several colleges are all nearby. The Mall of America and the Minnesota Vikings Training Camp facility is only an hour away.

Summary: We met another couple for a long weekend and this VRBO was a great place for us to relax and catch up. There is a nice patio where we sat outside and enjoyed the view over the lake. This place was really well stocked. It had everything we needed and I would highly recommend it. The lake has a lot of algae so we were not excited to get in it, but it has a really lovely view and was so comfortable. Owners were super friendly - they live upstairs. We had a nice chat with them.

Summary: Relaxing stay. Great time. Everything clean and comfotrable. Park just down road through trees to get a run in. Kayaked, canoe, fish, mankato escape room, twins baseball game, board games, watched movies.

Summary: Extremely nice home to stay in. The hosts were available when needed, but in the background, if you didn’t. Lots of amenities with the paddle boat, kayak and canoe. It was a beautiful setting.

Summary: We had a great time at The Hideaway! It was relaxing, quiet, peaceful, and the views were incredible! The hosts were super communicative and friendly. The beds were so comfy! I slept every day at least 10-11 hours! It allowed us to catch up on much needed sleep, plus we were able to still get out and explore the beautiful area around us. The kitchen had everything we needed for dishes and even some spices so we could cook and grill and home, and the use of the grill was awesome! We even went out on the water in the paddle boat! It was spectacular to spend our time there. If we’re ever up in the area again, we’ll be back!
