Overview: Enjoy the best of both Up North woods and the scenic beauty of our sandy Lake Michigan beach. Our home is situated on a wonderfully forested 1.5 acre property and sits on a low bluff overlooking Lake Michigan, with 100 feet of our privately owned beach. Our unique completely cedar home sits extremely close to the lake with unparalleled views of Lake Michigan from the cathedral ceiling great room, kitchen, screened in porch as well as from the master bedroom. Our home has been extensively renovated this year and features absolutely beautiful new furniture and pillow top beds.
Gourmet Kitchen: Fully equipped and completely remodeled gourmet kitchen has wonderful lake views and includes the latest in stainless steel appliances with walk-in pantry/laundry room.
Interior Description: • Great Room & New Game Room: Both have cathedral ceilings and huge glass expanse overlooking Lake Michigan. Breathtaking views.
• Sun Porch: Features Lloyd Flanders Wicker Furniture.
• Bedrooms: Master bedroom offers queen-sized Westin Heavenly Pillow Top Bed. Spectacular views of Lake Michigan. Guest room, with its own private full bath, features two pillow top double beds, TV and its own gorgeous wooded views. Great Room offers comfortable queen-sized sleeper sofa.
• Deck: 14 by 42 feet step down deck.
Amenities: Wicker and Rattan furniture throughout, incredible patio furniture, benches and seating areas throughout property, teak furniture at beach, 2 large flat panel TVs with cable tv, 1 smaller tv for gaming in guest bedroom, DVD player, VCR, CD player, high speed internet, MAC laptop computer, telephone with free long distance service, full kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, gas cook stove/electric oven, all cooking/eating utensils, washer/dryer, central heating and air conditioning, sun porch, walk-in pantry/laundry. Summary: My family and I loved this home and beach. It is by far the nicest beach segment for several miles up and down the coast. Additionally every amenity was top quality which made the entire vacation that much more enjoyable. Enjoy!

Summary: We so enjoyed our week in Manistee! The beach is unbelievable and easy to access, but the house is so beautifully located, you can enjoy the view and sunsets from either deck without getting your feet sandy. The house was spotless and had everything and anything we needed. Sandy was helpful and easy to work with, and we would love to rent this house again!

Summary: Kingmans Reef is such a wonderful place. It immediately felt at-home. It is comfortable, relaxing, and quiet. What an escape to wake up in the morning to the sound of waves, have your morning coffee on the beach, see awe inspiring sunsets, and go to sleep to the sound of the waves. The home is supplied with everything you need. Sandy is very welcoming and accommodating. I hope to return again!

Summary: We loved the house, which is located on one of our favorite stretches of beach. We also enjoyed the quality of the various amenities—e.g. the completeness and quality of the kitchen (we prepared all of our own meals, and found everything we needed). Comfortable beds. Love the observation deck and the swing at the landing on the stairs from the beach. We hope to return next year.

Summary: This property was absolute perfection. It was incredibly clean upon check in and had ample space for my family of 4. The kitchen is stocked with every kitchen tool you could possibly need - it really felt like home. Communication with the host, Sandy, 5 stars! She was very responsive and kind. The beach was amazing! Plenty of soft sand and a rocky (smooth, we swam without water shoes just fine) shoreline. We found Petoskey stones and lots of beach glass! The location of this property was ideal. Manistee is such a charming old town. We've gone on some pretty epic vacations as a family, but this one topped our list! It was so nice to just RELAX.
