Welcome to The Beach Hutch, your home away from home! If you are searching for the perfect beach front vacation spot, your search is over. Located on Lake Michigan’s pristine north shore and offering 120 feet of private soft sand beach, this truly spectacular home encompasses everything you would expect in a beach front home.
Entering the home, you are greeted with a large open floor plan, vaulted ceilings, and bright airy windows offering exceptional lake views from almost every room. There is a spacious well-equipped Kitchen with bar seating for 4 and table seating for 6. The sink has Purified Reverse Osmosis drinking water so you won't have to bring or buy bottled water! You will also find the washer/dryer as well as Bedroom/Bathroom 1 in this area of the home. Next you will enter the Great Room with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, cozy couch seating for 5 and a 60-inch HDTV. Off to one side of the Great Room are Bedrooms 2 & 3 along with Bathroom 2. Flowing through to the other side is the large waterfront Sunroom with captivating panoramic views of Lake Michigan. Inside this room you will find yourself encompassed by beauty. This stunning room is furnished with a dining table for 6, a full sleeper sofa, and ample seating/comfort as you sit and take in Lake Michigan’s vast beauty.
From the Sunroom you can access the wrap around deck, teak table, grill and outdoor shower. As you step off the deck you are just 30 steps away from the sugary soft sand and the crystal-clear water of Lake Michigan. Outside there is something for everyone’s beach side enjoyment. Some of the amenities provided are Adirondack chairs, kayaks, water and sand toys, and a Little Tikes playground. The soft sandy bottom and gradual sloping water depth allow for some of the best swimming in the area. On the other end of the beach is a firepit. This is the perfect place to sit under the stars with a relaxing bonfire while catching glimpses of shooting stars.

Summary: Our family really enjoyed our stay at The Beach Hut. It was still cool during our stay so the sunroom area was perfect to enjoy the view of the lake. Very convenient location to St. Ignace. Comfortable beds and furniture for days at the house. Would definitely stay again.

Summary: Great place to stay with with beautiful views of the lake. Close to St. Ignace. The home was clean and as described. The owners were excellent in communicating. We stayed in the winter and the plowing service did an excellent job.

Summary: Great house with large rooms. The front room is practically on the water with stunning sunsets and views of the freighters, St. Helene Island & lighthouse. Big deck and nice beach but it was the wrong time of year to enjoy them. Nicely equipped kitchen - plenty of space for a family. And just a sort drive into town and to attractions or to nearby hiking trails.

Summary: The house, the hosts, and the location made this the perfect fall break for our family! Being right on the beach and watching the constant changing sky over the lake from the sunroom was spectacular. The house was clean and comfortable and we especially appreciated being able to bring our dog with us. The location was easy for us to take day trips to Mackinac Island and get back with enough time to end our evening with a fire on the beach and roasting marshmallows. We can only imagine how perfect it would be to enjoy the property in the summer! Maybe next time!

Summary: Loved our stay at the Beach Hutch! We came for a ladies’ weekend and enjoyed the spaciousness of the house, the fire pit, and of course the lake views! The location was convenient to downtown and the grocery store, and the house is well appointed (for families traveling with kids as well). It’s a little hard to spot from the highway - be on the lookout for the round blue sign!

Summary: This is the second time we've stayed at the Beach Hutch, and we hope to return again next year. The location is perfect, the home is spacious and clean. The views in the great room are stunning. We made a few day trips last year and this year. It's a great location to hit multiple UP attractions in one stay. Michelle and John are fantastic hosts! Summary: Start with a beautiful house on magnificent Lake Michigan, add kayaks and ping pong and a fire pit for sunset-watching, and you are guaranteed a wonderful vacation. The two large living rooms and large kitchen afford comfortable space to socialize or for kids to break off for their own endeavors. Restaurants and amenities (groceries/wine/liquor) are minutes away. Our group of 10 family members from 11 yrs to Senior all felt at home and plan to visit the Beach Hutch again. You should too!

Summary: The Beach Hutch gave our family a lifetime of wonderful memories as we explored the UP. The location is excellent for getting to all the things to do and places to see. There was plenty of room for our family of five. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything that we needed. The views from the beach and sun room were amazing. What a great way to start the day with a cup of coffee watching the waves roll in. It was even better to end the day around the fire pit with a drink in hand watching the sun set, the moon rise, and then the stars shining. Michelle was an excellent and very attentive hostess. She responded very promptly to any questions that we had. We can't wait to go back!
