Lake Michigan Cottage with private beach privileges. This cottage is just a short walk to a private bluff overlooking Lake Michigan and it's breathtaking sunsets. It has Congregational Summer Assembly (CSA) benefits which include access to 1500 feet of private beach on pristine Crystal Lake. Those benefits also include 7 tennis courts, basketball, softball, soccer instruction and play, tennis and swimming lessons, lecturers, operettas, and supervised children's activities. If you rent during "season" (June 19 - August 18th) you are required to register all eligble family members and pay a fee. This lovely cottage has a large knotty pine great room with adjoining modern kitchen with center island and spacious dining/game area. The knotty pine extends into both the master bedroom with queen bed and 2nd BR with full size bed and upper bunk. The bathroom has a tile floor and shower with adjacent washer-dryer. The large deck has umbrella table and gas grill. Cottage is well appointed. This charming cottage nestled in the woods has the best of everything Michigan has to offer.
Located near many outstanding golf courses including the beautiful Arcadia Bluffs. Visit Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and sand dunes selected by Good Morning America as the most beautiful place in America. Also located near the award winning Betsie Valley bike trail. The nearby Cherry Bowl drive-in offers a chance to share a unique movie experience. Depending on your interest you can spend time at the local farmers markets, winery tours, or canoeing, tubing, or kayaking down the Platte River to the mouth of Lake Michigan. The cottage is within a couple miles of some of the greatest fishing spots in the Midwest. Enjoy fishing off the pier in nearby Frankfort or one of the many lakes and rivers. In mid August the King Salmon leave Lake Michigan to head up the Betsie River to spawn. In September the Coho return up the Platte River. Dining choices abound whether by candle light or on a deck overlooking the harbor. The above and many other opportunities are a short walk or drive from your cottage nestled in the woods a few steps from Lake Michigan.

Summary: Close to Crystal Lake and Lake Michigan. Great for dogs who like to run on the beach. We enjoyed the deck. Very quiet and relaxing.

Summary: The cottage had everything we needed including items to get us started, stocked kitchen for cooking and eating in, washer and dryer, WiFi, TV, and most importantly beach access to 2 beaches. A very short walk to the Lake Michigan beach and a longer walk (or very quick drive) to Crystal Lake. Beautiful!!! The owner, Dennis, was very kind and stopped by to make sure we had everything we needed and also gave us some great restaurant recommendations. It was an excellent vacation.

Summary: Overall a great rental and great stay! The location is perfect with both Lake Michigan beach and Crystal Lake so very close. Easy drive to Frankfort, Empire and Sleeping Bear lakeshore. The listing advertised the CSA membership incorrectly. Its 35$ a week for a car pass, plus 35$ PER PERSON for beach/activity access. We paid 164$ for the week. It's more if you bring a boat or kayak. The road is very precarious, especially at night. It was a busy holiday and getting in/out of the cottage was tricky. Just heads up for renters. Beautiful location, definitely great amenities. We were surprised a cabin at this price point didn't provide linens or bath towels. Don't forget those!

Summary: Overall, this was a perfect cottage in the middle of the woods. The location was perfect, communication with the owners was wonderful and we had everything that we needed. I especially liked its location, 5 minute walk from the lake. It also was the perfect time of year to go- I had the whole beach to myself. One of the best VRBO experiences that I have had!

Summary: Adorable cottage within ear shot of Lake Michigan waves. I enjoyed every minute of my stay and found the peace and joy that brings me back to my childhood community every summer. This is now my favorite place to hang my swim suit and hoodies. Summary: Family just finished our week long vacation and we had a great time. The home was in a great location with walkable access to Lake Michigan and a short car ride to Crystal Lake. Frankfort was a pleasant surprise and had great fireworks. Would definitely recommend.
