Summary: House and location has great potential, directions listed were on point, house is described as pictured. Secluded on the lake. A pretty place. My challenges were upon arrival the front door was ajar 4 inches and NEVER locked from outside when reported we were told the cleaning staff left it open that we would be fine - no comfort when leaving to go into town, heater took a while to warm the place up, fireplace is for decoration only, no propane available for grill, could have been cleaner- cobwebs on hood vent in kitchen and corners, oven did not work and get to temperature which caused food waste for my group, we were unable to have biscuits or lasagna as planned. Had to drive back into town where we did find a great Mexican restaurant Valle Grade Mexican Grill due to power outage, when reported to host, asked if it was a house issue or neighborhood issue? We were so secluded who knows? We had to initiate all contact with host. No hot water available downstairs. When questioned Host, was told it took a minute to heat up! We Never had hot water available for showering downstairs caused a challenge for my family as we were in town for a week of wedding festivities. The stairs to the lake are a challenge for anyone not in tip top physical shape. It would be a challenge for some to hike up and down for lake activities. Not enough washcloths and towels for my group- had to go buy! Did have some things needed in the kitchen but for the most part needed to be reviewed and restocked for items such as measuring cups and a few other minor things. A binder from the host would have been helpful. Hard to continue the stay due to challenges but we made it work!

Summary: The home was perfect for our group in size and layout. There was plenty of space for younger children and teens. The description in the listing accurately described the many steps to the water but we loved being up high with the view of the lake. The home was not prepared for our arrival. The dishwasher was full of dirty dishes and bedding and towels had mildewed in the washing machine. Showers were not clean and bathrooms were not stocked with toilet paper nor soap. We would stay at this house again because of the space and view but would not be willing to pay a cleaning fee as we had to spend the first hour cleaning.

Summary: The house was a great size and perfect to accommodate the group we had. The owner was responsive and helped solve initial issues that needed resolving. The house has a major bug issue. There were spider and ants everywhere. Could use a good pest or cleaning service. Other than that, the stay was nice.

Summary: This house has a lot of potential to be great. The lake itself was a blast, but we all had a hard time when we had to go inside. This really frustrated us knowing that we paid over 400 a night including fees when we could’ve just headed to the beach instead for that price. 1. Pest control is needed badly at this house. Spiders in all the windows, bed, suitcases. Roaches, bugs were also seen multiple times. Wasp nests all over the rails and roof of deck. Nobody in our group ever actually sat on the deck because we didn’t have wasp spray and forgot when we made our grocery run. 2. We had to clean the tables and counters and dishes before we used anything. The cleaning crew was not thorough. The bunk beds downstairs had food crumbs all in them when we arrived. There were used contacts stuck to the side of the shower also when we arrived. 4. If you want to bring a boat and enjoy the lake keep in mind it is 119 +/- steps to the dock and your boat gets beat around by wakes in the narrow channel by the dock. 5. The drive in is miserable if you have a smaller vehicle. Not sure you can really call that a road inside the gated community. Contacted host about the bugs/mess hoping they could send someone out, but they just said it is something to work on with the cleaning crew and sometimes bugs happen at the lake. Maybe, but a pest control company would help out a lot. If that sounds like something you want to spend beach prices on go for it. We won’t be back though.

Summary: The lake house was great and just what we needed. We had 3 different families staying with us for a long weekend of softball. The kids had their own space downstairs with lots to do and the adults had their own space upstairs. I would highly recommend this house just know that there are a lot of steps to the lake, so if you are not in shape it is going to take a while. I would book there again.

Summary: The stay was lovely. It is in a beautiful area. If you are looking for somewhere to sit outside, watch the beautiful lake, and drink your coffee… this is the place for you. The views are gorgeous. The walk down to the lake is even peaceful and beautiful, which is right down from the house. The floating deck and slide are great for kids. My kids cried when we had to leave. The homeowners also left tips on things to do, the town had a lot to offer, even including crystal caverns. Beautiful!

Summary: House was beautiful. High quality all the way; mattresses, kitchen appliances, furniture. Nice playroom with toys. Game room was wonderful. Only drawback was access to water; lots of steps. Hard (or impossible) for older people and small children to get down to dock.

Summary: Loved this home and could definitely spend at least a week here. Beautiful views. House has everything you need plus more. Nice to have access to river , kayaks and life jackets included in price - although was too cold for us to use. Teens loved downstairs area. Gave them plenty of space to hang out and play games. Very Clean and comfortable beds Plenty of room for multiple families. I would warn future renters a low car will not be able to get to the house. Several parts of the asphalt road have washed out due to water erosion. And without having a truck / suv we wouldn’t have been able to get through to the house.
