Summary: The place has an amazing view and beach. This is very enjoyable and makes it feel ok if you just relax at the house instead of exploring the area. Sun rises, sun sets, the water is always right there. The place itself is good for a couple or small family comfortable with living closely. There are no doors on the bedrooms and they are linked together by a tight hallway. The bathroom is also tight. However, if you can live with that, you will enjoy yourself and have little problems. The location is wonderful: far enough to still see the stars and close enough to the city to explore. Picture rocks are less than an hour away and easy to get to. There is a wonderful lake to explore along the North country Trail a short 2 minute drive. I highly recommend canoeing the Au Train river for a day. Plan to pull off and eat lunch and bring a fishing rod. Do kayak the Picture rock. If you can't hike due to something, there is also a good view and adventure by driving up Cliff Power Rd. to see the view. If the weather is bad, don't do it in a car, but if dry, you should have fun and be able to make it. If you have children, the children's museum is a great place for your younger kids and although we did not make it, there is space mini-golf. And do not miss out on Lakenenland Sculpture park: worth a walk around to see another man's madness. Lovely and free. Paul and Colleen were very helpful if needed. They will respond quickly and work to fix a problem.

Summary: Perfect location on the beach. Our family of 4 had a great time relaxing. We loved the remoteness of the location and had fun swimming, hiking and kayaking. We hope to be back! House is very small but had everything we needed and we did not spend much time indoors.

Summary: We enjoyed the cottage very much. It was just the right size for my husband and I. Close to the beach/water. Watching the boats and waves come in. Sunrises and sunsets were breath taking. We even got to experience the storm the one day. The pictured rocks tour was amazing. Close to towns to visit. Thank you for the use of your place !!!!

Summary: The number one reason we chose this property was the view. The online photos do not do this cabin justice! It IS a rustic cabin, and the owners make sure to state that. However, when we arrived, we were stunned at the literally breathtaking view from the large windows. Once we stopped gawking at the lake, we looked at the cabin. We were expecting something less than perfect, but the cabin exceeded our expectations! The cabin is bright and welcoming, with decorative touches and necessary items. The kitchen had paper towels, trash bags, soap, rubber gloves, and more. There was ample toilet paper, foam hand soap, and even a nightlight in the bathroom! There is no closet, but we were able to hang wire hangers on the large, heavy duty shelf, which worked fine. It is a very small cabin, but for two people it was fine. The bed (we only used one to sleep, the other for storage) was very comfortable, and we both slept very well there. The bathroom was tiny, but not much can be done for that. The view from the cabin is unobstructed, and directly in front of Lake Superior. You literally walk down the stairs to the beach. And…THE VIEW!!! The owners were WONDERFUL! They were very responsive and pleasant! They offered information when asked, solved problems/questions, and were lovely! We would definitely recommend this property for a couple; it would be tight for a family or two couples. We would absolutely stay there again!

Summary: Rustic as expected. The isolated beach house location is this property’s best feature. We enjoyed private morning coffee on the back deck as well as watching July 4 fireworks that night from across the bay. Positive activity at the Ojibwa Casino was lucrative and welcomed. The handy location between Munising and Marquette also was great for various activities. Having spent 8 years in Marquette between the USAF and NMU, it was the memory stirring trip I was seeking! We did add the toaster to the kitchen inventory.

Summary: We love this place so much , this is our fourth year and we will be back next year and for as many years as possible. The view is unparalleled and the hosts are amazing. We had a guest briefly and the three of us managed well in the space, which surprised everyone. The cottage is small, but who cares, with that view! The hosts even brought us one fresh caught trout (don’t expect this folks: we are “those people” who come every year so we are becoming friendly!) We miss it already. If you can make it work, you should rent this cottage!
