Camp Luke Charles cottage has a very peaceful setting.
Camp Luke is our personal home and has many personal items and decorations in it. Please review all pictures so you know what to expect.
Perfect for nature bathing surrounded by trees and the Sand River. A private and relaxing river front home overlooking the Sand River across from Lake Superior Beach. Located in a country 4 natural acre wooded setting on State Highway M28 East, we are 15 minutes from downtown Marquette and 25 minutes west of Munising. Beach is a 600 foot walk from the house, A gorgeous 3 mile stretch of Lake Superior beach is a short walk down our wooded driveway and across the road. This beautiful sugar sand beach is rated as one of the UP's best beaches - clean, fine sand and amazing water. Camp Luke Charles is nestled in the tall red pine forest between Lake Superior and the Sand River. The Sand River is excellent for easy, relaxing kayaking and canoeing which leads out to Lake Superior. Bird feeders bring visitors all year long. Beaver, martins, great horned owls, and bald eagles are seen on the river and beach area.
Modern eat-in kitchen with Quartz granite tops, glass tile back splash, stainless steel appliances, fully stocked for cooking, baking and serving any size group.
Wetstone slate patios overlooking the Sand River outside of 3 season room and bedroom 3.
Three bedrooms are spread out in our home for privacy and quiet.

A hiking trail, which starts near the cottage, is great for a relaxing nature walk to an old train bridge.
No pets allowed. No AC/air conditioning.
No ORV's, ATV's or snowmobiles allowed on property because adjacent properties are private.
Camp Luke Charles is year round lived in home with many personal family and owl decorations. Please review pictures of rooms so you know what to expect when choosing our home for your stay.

Summary: A pleasant stay in a cabin with room and character. Five adults were comfortable and another five could have joined us, no problem. Cabin was clean with interesting decor; about 10 miles east of Marquette in peaceful surroundings. Beautiful beach across the hwy. Aacross the hwy.

Summary: Superior location! Centrally located between Marquette and Munising making it easy to enjoy both cities. Don’t miss Lakenenland right down the road - so unique and fun! Gorgeous sand beach right across the street , a perfect spot for beautiful sunsets. Although we didn’t see the Northern Lights as we had hoped, the star filled skies were exceptional. Lovely swing in the yard to sit and star gaze. The river behind the house was fun to canoe and kayak Bedrooms are very large and beds were comfortable.Plenty of space inside and out to relax and enjoy . The house was clean, but there is an overabundance of eclectic decorations for our taste that gave us a cluttered feeling, but without a doubt there are many special memories and love in this house.

Summary: Beautiful property with a confortable, well-stocked home. Love being able to walk to Lake Superior! Comfy beds, good kitchen, tons of beach towels, everything we needed was right there. Easy to reach owners. Couldn't ask for more from our stay!

Summary: As others have stated this cabin has very eclectic decor. Lots of knick knacks, which actually brought us back to our childhoods and time with our Grandparents!!! The cabin was clean and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. We kayaked the river in the back and met up with Lake Superior to kayak as well. What a fabulous experience!!! We did encounter a gardener snake in one of the kayaks, which made for a funny story to tell others. LOL!!! This cabin is in such a great location to enjoy Lake Superior, walking the beautiful beach and catching some beautiful sunsets. We also took day trips to Marquette, where we biked the beautiful bike trail from the visitors center to Presque Isle, hiked Sugarloaf mountain and Munising to hike and view many beautiful water falls. There is so much to do in the area, we will need to return as we ran out of time. Thank you Annie and Paul for sharing your beautiful slice of Heaven on Earth!!! Sincerely, Vickie and Randy

Summary: Sandy calm beach right across the road. Good location between Munising and Marquette. Well stocked kitchen with plenty of dishes and all you would need to cook away from home. Handsoap, dish soap, paper towel, toilet paper and trash bags were a nice surprise, we have been to a few places without these provided. Cottage is comfortable and decorated with many interesting pieces. We enjoyed being close to the beach and walked over multiple times per day. We would definitely stay again!

Summary: Everything was absolutely wonderful about our stay! The house was clean, well maintained and instructions were clear. Great location between downtown Marquette area and Munising. Absolutely stunning views all throughout the property and at Lake Superior.

Summary: This rental is awesome!! So much room to spread out, and the furniture is so comfortable. The bedrooms all have a king extra-comfy bed AND enough dressers that you can unpack and not have to live out of our suitcases. This place is also extremely clean!! Since we rented in the fall, the colors were beautiful! Location... just walk down the driveway and you are at Lake Superior! Also... for those casino lovers... just 5 miles away from the casino!! Don't hesitate to rent, and we will be back!!

Summary: The property is a great place to spend time with the family. The house is extremely clean and it has everything one would need to be able to relax. The check in process was a breeze and the property is located in a great spot between Au Train and Harvey. We were able to drive to Munising and Marquette in no time at all. The beach on Lake Superior is directly across the road, and is a short stroll from the front porch. In our party, we had a 70 year old and 80 year old adult and they were able to access the beach and enjoy Lake Superior with out a problem. Great communication from the owner and I would certainly recommend this property.
