Seneca Bluff House is situated on two rolling acres overlooking Seneca Lake and the village of Watkins Glen. Drive, bike, or walk one mile into town.
This executive home is ideal for family gatherings sleeping up to 14 with 6 bedrooms, 3 baths, 2 large living rooms, and a fitness center. Our 3500 sq. ft. of living space is finished with cherry, and marble floors, granite, and quartz counters, with large windows and sliding doors to highlight the panoramic view of Seneca Lake.
The home features a large hillside lawn, a pool and deck, a patio with a gas grill and outdoor seating for dining.
The Lake views combined with the close proximity to the village makes this a premier vacation rental.
One of our best features is our location. The home is on the edge of the village, privately situated on a bluff overlooking the lake, but close enough to walk into town. You will be right off of Rte 14 which is part of the Seneca Wine Trail, and close to many attractions, restaurants, shopping, wineries, breweries and Watkins Glen International Race Track.

Summary: The size of the house, cleanliness, and proximity to Watkins Glen are all huge positives. It was lovely having two living spaces with the group we traveled with because we were able to dedicate one to a play room. I stayed here with some of my siblings and our children (4 kids total 4 years old and younger). Our number one drawback was the noise from the road. This home is located about 150 yards to the west side of Route 14, not on a bluff that is directly proximal to the water. The section of Route 14 that this house is located closely to both transitions downhill and from 55 MPH to 30 MPH. This road is heavily trafficked with tractor trailers and other noisy vehicles, so the sound of semis J braking or motorcycles accelerating is audible around the clock. This interfered with the quality of sleep for all guests who stayed in the house, despite the use of sound machines. For this reason alone I would not recommend this house to families with young children! We also struggled with the Wi-Fi connection, having to reset the router multiple times a day. The pool was not clean upon arrival and the liner was pulled in one section. The pictures of the property lead us to believe the pool was located on the property in such a way that it would provide privacy, but that was not the case either. These issues with the pool didn’t impact our stay too much since the weather wasn’t cooperating, but had we had better luck we would have liked to use it. The check-out process gets an A+, Mark makes it super simple asking to only remove linens and place them in a dedicated area.

Summary: The location could not be better. Close to Watkins Glen and the major arteries to all the lakes, towns and vineyards. Oh, and food and ice cream too. We very much enjoyed the outdoor spaces with our children and grandchildren. We only had one issue with the house and Mark was immediately responsive.

Summary: This property was perfect for our large family. The bunk room was great for the kids with parent bedrooms down the hall, right and left. Then there were 3 bedrooms for us who preferred quiet on the newer addition or 1st floor. It worked out perfectly! Pool was a big plus with the hot weather. Mark and Michelle answered our calls and e-mails promptly. Couldn’t have asked for a better vacation!

Summary: A group of 14 of my girlfriends and I stayed at Mark’s property this June and were absolutely delighted by our stay. Mark was a fantastic host and would definitely recommend this spacious house to large groups who are looking to explore the beautiful Watkins Glen area.

Summary: We traveled as a gang of 11 friends that vacation together every year, and we loved the Finger Lakes area and Watkins Glen as our gathering spot. Mark and family took great care of us and the house was fantastic; Great kitchen, large dining table, two living rooms, lots of bed rooms, and equipped work out room. We recommend it for a big family or a bunch like us.

Summary: The large and comfortable house was spotless. It comes with an amazing yard and pool. The Views of Seneca Lake are spectacular. Perfect for grilling and eating while admiring the lake. Mark, the host, is friendly and he was immediately responsive before and during the stay. We couldn't have found a better place for a long delayed week with our children, their partners, and our grandchildren. We'll be back.

Summary: The house was absolutely stunning and perfect for a girls weekend in the finger lakes. The house is very close to Watkins Glen, several wineries, and other activities. Mark was very responsive and even walked us through the house to make sure we knew where everything was. We've already started planning our next trip! Thank you so much for everything.

Summary: We stayed at the property for five nights with 14 adults and had plenty of room. The house is gorgeous with spacious bedrooms and two big living rooms for extra sleeping space. It was hot every day we stayed there so we got plenty of use out of the pool! Such a fun and relaxing vacation. Highly recommend.
