Summary: In the VRBO picture it looks like the lake is accessible from the cottage and didnt say a word about the crazy busy highway in front of the property. The property was very cute and very nicely decorated so staying in was not too bad but a disappointment to not spend any time near the water. Also there was terrible internet access: one of our family had hoped to work from home and that was impossible. No reliable TV access, so not much to do. no baking or casserole dishes, no grill so cooking was difficult. luckily we brought sandwich fixings.

Summary: This is a well proportioned two bedroom cottage that feels very roomy and comfortable. It's nicely decorated and well stocked with necessary supplies. The view of Lake Wawasee was better than we expected from photos and we were removed just far enough from the lakefront to avoid feeling stacked on top of other lakers. Highly recommend.

Summary: This was a perfect place for us. We join several families every year for the 4th of July and need a place to sleep, do a little work and have separation. This house fit the bill. It had plenty of room for us and easily children but we didn't use that. The location was perfect based on where our friends are. It was super clean and the owner, Katrina, was responsive and very pleasant to work with. I will gladly stay again. For others interested this is NOT on a lake with lake rights so unless you bring your boat to launch or have other means to see Lake Wawasee you will just be looking at it. The kitchen is small but it served our needs of storing food and making an appetizer or two but I imagine trying to cook something elaborate might be tough. The house is stocked with some of the essentials (laundry, coffee, cleaning supplies) but no hair dryer. I didn't explore the garage so not 100% but there wasn't a grill. We loved being able to bring our dogs who ran around the fenced yard and sat on the screened in porch staring at the lake. The views of the lake are gorgeous and you get the sunset view. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nice getaway. Thanks Katrina!

Summary: I stayed for two days at the end of June and I had nothing shy of a great experience. Katrina, the property manager was spot on communicating with me from the very beginning. The house was spotless and The guest instruction sheet was the cherry on top. Driving up to the property, the neighbors were outside playing with their dog and it looked like a safe quiet area. There were little thoughtful accommodations scattered throughout the home including ice already in the ice bin, Keurig pods, a few bottles of water in the fridge, a guest instruction sheet with detailed information to include quiet hours, property managers contact information, local restaurant recommendations, and suggested access to the lake. I am very particular about rental property cleanliness and there was not one speck of dust on the counters or shelves. That speaks wonders to me. The three seasons room smelled of fresh lumber. The most enjoyable feature about this hideout is the breathtaking sunset view that no photo or video could capture. Thank you so much for your hospitality! It was a perfect mini getaway while in town from Dallas, TX for work in Fort Wayne.

Summary: Initial reaction to the property was questionable based on the "neighborhood". Once we entered it was a delightful sight. Cute place and nicely decorated and furnished. My thoughts are the same as several of the other reviewer's "please get curtains" It was odd to have the house lit up with these huge windows were there with no privacy at all. We loved the cottage other than that. It was also nice to thave the garage to use for parking.
