Summary: This cottage was exactly what my partner and I were looking for as our summer holiday location. The cottage was exactly as described -- a good old fashioned Canadian cottage on the lake. The deck was wonderful, with sunshine all day, and very late afternoon shade (which meant it was cooler in the scorching heat). The dock was a great bonus, the beach made wading in and kayak landings easy. The bed was comfy. The kitchen had all the amenities you could ask for in a basic cottage set up (no oven though there is a toaster oven). The small sitting room would have done the trick on a rainy day though we had none. The only minor disappointment was that the WIFI was effectively non-existent. We ended up using our cell service to check emails etc. In my opinion, it needs a WIFI booster in the actual cottage. Regardless, if you need heavy duty internet during your stay this isn't the place for you, but if you don't it's terrific. Thank you Lucinda and Bob.

Summary: Hosts were incredibly friendly, helpful, and responsive. Cabin is cozy but has everything you need - most importantly a great deck overlooking the water and big dock. Cabin location is excellent - quiet, but close enough to be able to bike to town. Loved being able to rent kayaks and a SUP directly from them. Highly recommend!

Summary: It was lovely, mostly sitting on the patio, drinking wine, eating dinner and watching the sunset. The lake is the most beautiful I have ever jumped into, which was every day! We had sing a long and Bob and Lucinda joined us for dinner. The wine was flowing and my partner played the harmonica alo g with Bob's guitar playing and singing. Shared wonderful stories from the 60s. It would have been nice to have a dining table inside for cold nights, but overall an excellent experience!

Summary: My husband and I had the most pleasant, relaxing time for our end of summer stay at the Cedar Point cottage. This sweet little cottage had everything we were looking for. The outdoor shower was lovely. We had wifi and movies. The bed was very comfortable. We spent every evening on the deck, grilling up some dinner and drinking wine. We rented a boat for 3 days and docked it on the property. We also spent afternoons laying on the dock in the sun. Bob and Lucinda were fabulous hosts. They brought us fresh produce from their green house and let us rent kayaks and a SUP board from them as well. Bob was also very helpful in letting us know what places to explore. Christina Lake is a beautiful place. We took the boat out, hiked, kayaked, explored Grand Forks. We didn't want to leave. We would highly recommend the Cedar Point cottage to any couple. We look forward to returning again in the future. - Jennie and Kyle

Summary: Our stay at the Lake was one of our better vacations and we’ve done a fair bit of travelling. We loved the Amish Cottage - it was extremely inviting and very cosy. The deck overlooks the Lake and, each morning while we were having coffee, a hummingbird bird would visit and then we’d see a few rabbits inspecting the area. It was lovely! Bob and Lucinda truly are the most gracious of hosts. They grow their own vegetables and kindly shared some of the produce with us. (Also fresh eggs from Lucinda’s chickens). Delicious! As hosts, they understand what their guests require and act accordingly. They are there to ensure you have everything you need then let you have your space. Don’t miss out! It’s a great opportunity to experience their hospitality, the cosy cottage and the Lake.
