Positive: The accommodation was comfortable and spotlessly clean with awesome views. Very peaceful and quiet.

Negative: My partner didn’t like cutlery 🙄

Positive: The garden was immaculate and the views wonderful.

Negative: The house wasn’t clean especially the windows, oven and BBQ and kitchen. I contacted the agent who offered to send cleaners the same day which we appreciated but as we were leaving the following morning we declined. The outside toilet had no water. We cleaned the BBQ for the next visitors as best we could but no wire brush etc.. the steps down to the water taxi were difficult and need to be made safer and a handrail, like other properties have done. Needs some general maintenance and a spring clean. This is meant as feedback not criticism.

Positive: Fabulous view, very quiet and private location. friendly and supportive staff.

Negative: The bedrooms are bit stuffy on hot days, would suggest to put on some fly screens to leave the windows open. Oven is not working but only find out on the last day. However didn’t bother me too much. Apart from these, it was good overall!

Positive: The house itself is clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the kitchen has abundant Kitchen utensils to cook. The location is great, right next to the lake, with a small path leading down to the lakeside, and we can also see the snowy mountains inside of the house.

Negative: We paid extra with the understanding that the house had 2 bathrooms as described, but there was only 1 bathroom. The host did not offer any compensation and merely suggested updating the description (as of 25 August 2024, a month after our visit, the listing still shows 2 bathrooms). Additionally, the hot water runs for only 30 minutes, which isn’t sufficient for our group of 4. The host claimed this is typical everywhere in NZ, but that’s not accurate. A friend of mine stayed in another accommodation in Queenstown with no hot water restrictions. Overall, we found the host unhelpful in addressing these issues.

Summary: The house is nice and the location is great, but the host service needs improvement.
