This house has it all! Imagine cooking dinner on the barbecue while your kids catch bass off the dock. Or enjoy the sunset while sitting in an eight-person hot tub. If swimming’s your jam you’ll love the sandy clear water right off the dock. (I know this is the suggested description… but it really nails it?). If it’s a rainy day, kick back in our surround sound projection theater downstairs or workout at our home gym with treadmill, squat rack, free weights and chin up bar. If fishing is your goal, take the 20 foot pontoon out and experience some world class bass fishing on long lake. Have young kids? High chairs, kids toys, pack and play included:). It also has 3 kayaks to use.
Master Bedroom- 1 queen bed, connecting bathroom with shower
Bedroom 2- triple bunk bed and 1 twin bed
Bedroom 3- 1 queen bed
Bedroom 4- 1 queen bed and twin bunk beds
Queen pull out sofa in walk out basement
Treehouse- 1 queen bed plus futon. Treehouse does leak sap occasionally, it’s a live tree. Usually just a few drops. It has electricity ran to it lights and outlets.
20 foot pontoon boat is yours to use, with a $500 refundable deposit. It’s at the end of the 100 foot dock. Bass love to hide under it!

Summary: Family of 10 came and stayed in this house! The outside area is amazing for kids and adults, we got some rain so we didn’t get to enjoy it all! The tree house is amazing and had it been warmer the kids could have stayed in there for the night! We enjoyed the theater screen in Basement and had a movie every night! The kitchen is a great set up ( might want to bring serving spoons as there was only 1 large slotted spoon) everything you would need! There were many communications with Sara and she was kind enough to answer back! Some of the guests from prior stay had damaged many things in the house and they were in the midst of replacing or fixing things! All in all other than just a few things that were lacking, we were happy and enjoyed our week as a family! Sara gave us a list of things to do and we did many of them and all were hits with kids! I would really love to come back in late Spring or Summer to enjoy the lake and outside living more! Our grandkids didn’t want to leave!

Summary: The backyard is fantastic and the house is large and interesting. The water is fairly shallow for quite a ways past the long dock, so it was great for our young children. It was just a little tricky to enter the water. The whole backyard set up with the tree house, fire pit, hot tub, etc. was perfect.

Summary: Can't say enough great things about this property or the owner! We had 13 family members for a four day weekend and this house was fabulous. Tons of space, charming decor, a fantastic kitchen to cook in (we made all our meals) and we all fit at the dining room table! Kids loved the yard and the lake. The boat was a huge perk for us and we had a great time on the lake, especially for a sunset cruise one night. We had an issue with the boat that Sarah took care of right away, and she was very helpful with ideas about what to do in the area. We took her advice and went to the dark sky park, the local quiet beach on Lake Huron with a sunken ship (for real!) and loved shopping downtown Alpena. We are already talking about coming again next year. Thank you Sarah for a wonderful stay!

Summary: We had three couples and six kids under the age of 6 there for 5 days. The amount of area they could play was great between the rooms in the house, basement and backyard there was still places if one needed a little break. Being right on the lake was great and very convenient, it was pretty shallow a ways out and sandy. For the kids who could walk they were able to go out a ways and still touch. The host was very responsive and helpful with and questions of issues. Overall had a great time, would go back again.

Summary: This home has it all! We spent a week for an adult family vacation, and were never bored. All the amenities offered by the home were available for use, and the host even brought more "toys" for us to use. The boat, hot-tub, tree house, kayaks, water floaties, fire pit, outdoor seating were great. Inside, the home is open and spacious, kitchen stocked, TV upstairs and down, bar area and gym downstairs. The only one flaw was the road noise for the two bedrooms on the road side of the house. Can't change that! The host is the best we have experienced. She responded to all our questions and concerns quickly, and was so friendly and helpful. Did everything she could to make us feel welcome and enjoy our stay. Thanks so much!!!

Summary: Two families had a fantastic stay at this well equipped waterfront property. We took advantage of the boat, the hot tub, the fire pit and of course the stocked fridge during our stay. :) Sarah the owner was very responsive and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was going well. Highly recommend!

Summary: This was a great experience. Sarah was very responsive to any questions we had, and went out of her way to loan me her personal hand coffee grinder when I needed one. The water is gorgeous, the tree house is incredible, the house is so spacious. The kayaks, boat and hot tub are a great touch. We would rent again without hesitation. Someone mentioned the location on the highway: it is true that the front yard is very shallow and close to the road, but once you’re inside or on the lakeside of the house, you don’t notice it at all. Just keep those kids in the back! Highly recommend!
