Summary: The cabin itself was lovely with a southwestern feel. Very clean when we arrived and met our expectations. The outside space was the best! Even though it was a rainy weekend, we were able to take the kayaks out on the lake during a break in the rain. Unfortunately the weather prohibited us from visiting the beach but the property was close to Solomon's Island where there is plenty of shopping and dining. My only complaint was the mattress in the master bedroom. It felt wore out and we kind of sunk in the middle.

Summary: Stunning view, wonderful range of birds in surrounding trees, dawn and dusk visits from deer. House fully furnished. Owner responsive to several queries and provided new toaster. Close enough to shopping with car.

Summary: Great place to stay ,House is really nice. Great privacy with access to the the lake. Walk distance to the beach. I want to come back. Close giant supermarket.

Summary: My family and I booked this property secondary to the listing having access to a private community beach. Unfortunately the beach was about a 2 block trek from the property, down a flight of unkempt stairs to a beach area smaller than my backyard. The property could have been cleaner as there were spider webs, dust, and insect carcasses everywhere. I actually had to clean out the couch cushions before allowing my kids to sit. The furniture on the deck had seen better days and there was a taped up glass pane down the bottom of the house. The property also lacked basic amenities such as a broom, washer/dryer, and iron. There was only only one television and the sheets for the blow up mattress had an actual blood stain on them. This being said, the stay was not all bad. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were clean, the water pressures in the showers were excellent, and there was a nice view of the lake. All in all, the less than stellar aspects of the stay are easy fixes (except the size of the beach). With a little more attention to detail, I would recommend.

Summary: Our first family trip to MD did not disappoint! The area was an amazing combination of wooded and bay/lake beauty along with laid back dining in nearby Solomon’s Island. The rental unit was very clean and well stocked with all needed amenities. The owner literally thought of everything needed for an enjoyable stay from extra linens to games and an area guide book. The quiet neighborhood was perfect for morning coffee by the private lake access and an afternoon to the private beach on the Chesapeake Bay. We can’t wait to return!

Summary: The pictures are accurate but there is much more to see and do. The community beach was quiet, private, and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the daily visits from the doe and her twin babies. If available in the near future, we will make it a frequent getaway. Thank you Carlene doe opening your cottage to us and thank you for your service. 🇺🇸
