Welcome to our Lakefront Paddlers Peak on the shores of beautiful Callander Bay, Lake Nipissing!
Experience the Near North your way, year-round! Relax by the waterfront or on the deck, hike nearby trails, paddle the bay or lake, bring your boat (or snowmobile!) to fish for Walleye, Pike, Bass, Perch, and the elusive Musky! Regardless of season, the angling opportunities are endless! Listen to loons and cook S’mores at a lakeside campfire. Pick your passion (our space will accommodate it!)
Located close to the town of Callander, and a short drive to North Bay, our four season cottage provides quick access to entertainment such as the new casino in Callander, local golf courses, snowmobile trails, fantastic dining and all amenities the area has to offer.
The waterfront has incredible views. It features a stunning firepit, muskoka chairs (put away in winter), a boat house with storage for the watercraft we provide, docking for small to medium sized boats, and a step ladder for water entry for swimming. This area will not disappoint.
No matter the weather, with the screened-in epic games room, there is always something to do! Converted from an insulated & heated garage, the games room features many classics such as shuffleboard, fooseball, crokinole, and air hockey.
We've decorated the cottage to match the surroundings, with many amenities provided so you can pack light and jump right into excitement and relaxation!
The cottage has 2 private bedrooms, each with ceiling fans, queen beds and Endy mattresses for your added comfort. We provide many high quality pillows, comforters, blankets, and all linens to accommodate different sleeping styles and all four seasons.
The kitchen is fully stocked and connects to a furnished patio featuring a Coleman BBQ grill and majestic lake views. Eat at the farmhouse dining table or just steps outside on the patio! For your morning routine, we've added a convenient coffee bar.
The living room boasts a full size queen sofa bed. Enjoy some family time with the provided games or watch a movie on the 43" Smart TV. In the cooler seasons, the wood burning fireplace makes the space extra cozy.
The mudroom offers a washer and a dryer conveniently located near the bedrooms and bathroom.
Guests have full access to the cottage, the waterfront, the property and the boathouse. No access is provided to the crawl space (with separate entrance), the storage shed, and the secondary garage.
Swimming is sandy off the dock and allows for shallow entry. The main shoreline is rocky. The ladder into the lake transitions from a rock bottom to sand.
There is no access to the wood burning fireplace between May and October.
The property allows for lake access with your snowmobile or ATV in the winter as it has a gentle slope to the waterfront.
The cottage is located down a privately maintained dirt road. Parking is private and can accommodate up to 6 vehicles as well as snowmobile/ATV/boat trailers.
Bringing your own watercraft? The best place to launch is the public launch in nearby Callander. The cottage offers docking for most boats depending on the water level.
If you’re an avid angler, as your hosts, we are happy to provide private launching about 15 minutes away for additional angling opportunities on beautiful South Bay!
Life jackets and basic safety kits are provided for the available watercraft.. If you are concerned about size of life jackets, please bring your own.
Whereas the property is child friendly, please note there is a retaining wall and it is the responsibility of guests to ensure a safe distance is kept.

Summary: We chose this cottage to spend the New Year in peace, close to nature and with family. When we arrived, we received a beautiful basket with delicious treats, wine and a special greeting card. The cottage stands out not only for being super clean and well located, but also for all the amenities offered. You will find from spa towels to cell phone chargers on the bedside tables, and everything you need to feel at home. The living room has several board games & Tv with Netflix. Our family loved the games room (heated garage) and it was everything we wanted at -10C. Outside the house there is also the lake, which was frozen, and a firepit to enjoy wine and good stories. If the lake wasn’t frozen, there would be kayaking and much more to enjoy. We felt at home and plan to return in the Summer! Thank you so much! You are amazing hosts!

Summary: We flew in from BC to spend time with her daughter and her teenage kids. This cottage was more like a very well organized resort/home! It had more than we expected for our family in terms of household accommodations/supplies, games room, waterfront, and water toys…! Three generations were able to keep busy, happy and entertained the entire week, and we all agreed: “This was a five-star resort”, and that we would consider returning next year. Communication with the owners was very timely, easy and comfortable. Thank you!

Summary: This cottage had all the comforts of our own home and more, the coziest beds, fully equipped kitchen with all the tools and appliances we needed to make any meal. They also provided pantry basics like oil and seasonings with some nice extras like the keg brand steak mix, paprika, chillies and garlic powder to spice up our meals. Skewers for s’mores and kabobs and bbq tools were also handy to have. Will def pack lighter next time! The game room was so much fun and such a nice addition when we wanted to stay inside. We also took advantage of the paddle boat to spend some time exploring the lake (canoe and kayak also provided). Beautiful sunrises and sunset by the water were a joy to start and end our day. The hosts were always quick to respond whenever we needed to get in touch. They even left us goodies like a s’mores kit, popcorn, coffee and teas, bug spray etc. Tons of firewood to spend hours by the fire pit every night. Even though we were surrounded by nature, we didn’t spot any bugs inside the cottage which was a nice surprise. Everything was above and beyond our expectations. Will definitely be back :) Thank you for such a lovely peaceful getaway!
