Welcome to the Lake Life! This Tampa Bay area Florida getaway is close to everything including the famous Tampa Bay/ Clearwater beaches, restaurants, sporting events, attractions, outlet malls and Moffitt Cancer Center. Fish, paddleboard, swim and kayak from your private beach. Enjoy relaxing views of the lake from almost every room in the rustic lake lodge, spaceous dock or outdoor firepit.
Located in a quiet neighborhood on a dead end road, you will enjoy privacy and relaxation on over 2+ acres of exotic landscaping, directly on crystal clear, spring fed Lake Thomas. This is a private ski-sized lake with some of the best fishing in Land O Lakes and fishing gear will be provided upon request. Enjoy180 feet of white sand beach to swim, and launch the Kayaks or enjoy the cool breezes from the large covered dock. Enjoy peaceful sunsets and evenings around a spaceous firepit. The outside patio, located just steps from the shore, has a large outdoor dining area and comfortable adirondack chairs. Propane barbeque grill is available. The driveway and parking pad can accomodate 4 vehicles.
The Lake Lodge is a one-of-a-kind custom home with exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and elegantly decorated with rustic touches. There are three bedrooms with the master downstairs featuring a comfy king bed and updated private master bath with large walk-in shower. Upstairs are two bedrooms with two queen beds and a shared full bath with a tub. There is a gameroom loft with expansive views of the lake. There is also a half-bath adjacent to the brand new laundry room downstairs.
There are 2 beautiful dining areas featured in the home, each seating 6 people. The kitchen is well stocked, including a Keurig and 12 cup stainless coffee pot, new appliances and starter kit including cleaning supplies, paper towels, coffee, snacks and dish and laundry soap.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
~For your safety, the home has security cameras outside, facing the driveway as well as lakeside. No cameras are inside the home or face the interior. If there is any tampering of the cameras or disconnecting the wifi, you will be asked to vacate the property immediately.
~This home has well and septic, so please, NO parking in the grass. A water filtration system has been installed, and a 1 gallon jug of water will be in the refrigerator. You may want to supply your own bottled water, but not necessary. We also ask that you only flush waste and small amount of toilet paper. Do NOT flush feminine products or wipes of any kind.
~There is NO smoking allowed on the property. There are many guests as well as the OWNERS who have allergies to smoke and tobacco products. If there is evidence that someone in your party has smoked in the home, dock or on any of the property, you will be asked to leave and there will be a $350.00 fee imposed.
~This is a natural Florida lake with many species of wildlife to enjoy. Please do NOT feed the wildlife, ducks, fish or rarely seen alligators per Florida State Statute. *All water activities are at your own risk.* Be aware that natural lake levels vary and diving off the dock is prohibited.
~Bring your water shoes, lake shells and muscles are present. Flip flops or shoes are recommended on the grounds.
~You are surrounded by water and trees, bring bugspray! You are in Florida and our state bird is the mosquito.
~NO Large gatherings or parties are allowed. This is a quiet neighborhood, and we love our neighbors.
~ONLY the downstairs fireplace is functional. We allow only Duraflame-type logs and 2 will be provided for your enjoyment. Do NOT use the upstairs fireplace.
~The adjacent garage is private for the owner, however, if you need covered parking, this could be optional.
The TV’s are Roku and ready for any subscription based streaming services. Please do not adjust or Tamper with the TV’s or internet. The TV’s are hard mounted and not removable. The Master and upstairs do swivel -downstairs is fixed.

Summary: I chose to stay at the lake house because of the 5 star reviews, descriptions of the property and proximity to my family. The moment I walked on to the property, I was greeted by my hosts, the house and the lake. The property is beautiful! I was surrounded by many varieties of palm trees, cypress trees and the serenity of the lake. It is truly stunning with so many options for indoor and outdoor meals, quiet moments painting and kayaking. I awoke every morning rested and restored after a good nights sleep on a comfy bed with quality linens and towels. The hosts, Jon and Lauren, were attentive and responded immediately to my questions and requests. A truly perfect stay! I highly recommend staying at the lake house.

Summary: This was the best VRBO we have ever rented. Great location-peaceful-quiet. The kitchen was fully stocked with glasses, dishes, pot and pans and much more. All you need to bring is your clothes. Our grandkids enjoyed fishing from the dock. Jon and Lauren are the best host. They went above and beyond. We will be back.

Summary: We highly recommend this property. We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful location . The house is stunning and cozy. The property is gorgeous. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the sunsets, fishing, kayaking and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. Jon and Lauren were beyond accommodating. They left a gift basket for our pup, a welcome Easter basket for our stay, and often checked in on us during our visit. We cannot say enough amazing things about this property and the hosts. We will definitely be back!

Summary: Since I hate to repeat myself, a quick google search came up with 66 synonyms of PERFECT. And they all could be used to describe the Lake Lodge. So here’s my review: House - Beautiful Property - Gorgeous Amenities - Unmatched Owners - Fabulous Thing to do in the area - Superb Fishing - Too good to be true Kitchen supplies - Beyond compare And so on! We stayed at the Lake Lodge for a month to escape a Minnesota winter. The house was comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed. Owners, Jon and Lauren, are responsive, considerate and just great people to get to know. The setting is park-like!! Quiet, peaceful and absolutely beautiful! You will not find a better place to stay. We will be back!!

Summary: We were looking for a home and needed short term rental. We did stay over 30 days in this lovely A frame style lake house. They were so kind to provide us with a dog basket with goodies for our pup. They had everything already thought of including detergent for washer , cleaning supplies for our longer stay, extra toilet paper, and goodie baskets in the kitchen including coffee pods and coffee syrups. They regularly checked on us and made sure we were enjoying our stay. The dock was lovely to enjoy and they had extra fishing rods and kayaks and canoes. The landscaping on the property and the plants were all beautiful and well maintained.

Summary: We needed a tranquil place for 2 months for my husband to recover from a stem cell transplant within a 30 minute drive from Moffitt Cancer Center. This was the perfect place. It is on a dead end drive, so no traffic noise. There are neighbors but the closest house has no windows towards the lake house and there is a privacy fence. You can't see the other neighbors homes. The grounds are just spectacular. They are lush with thick grass, intricate flower beds and were so very well maintained during our stay. There is a fire pit with seating, an outside patio dining area, and a dock with a sitting area. Kayaks and life vests are provided in case you want to enjoy a few hours on the water. We were unable to make use of these, but our visiting family did. Our grandson actually went fishing and caught fish. The house itself was very comfortable. The furniture including the master bed was great. I used the washer and dryer frequently on the sanitize setting. The house was easy to keep clean which was important to our situation. We stayed on the ground floor. Some of our family visited and used the upper floor including a game room with a big screen TV for video games. The dining and living room have a wonderful lake view. My husband spent most of his time in the living room watching the lake. Birds and squirrels are abundant. I saw deer hoof prints at the edge of the lake. There are a few boats as well as a car boat. Jon and Lauren were the best hosts!!
