Summary: The house was nice and tidy on impression. Though it lacked the 'family' vibe that we were after. Considering that it was the middle of winter, and the weather was bad - And there was no Internet at all! (which is really hard to believe of a house of this calibre) We were unable to do necessary website work that we needed to do - and our kids were unable to complete homework (as we had taken them out of school for this trip). We would have thought that if you weren't supplying internet, you might at least have some family DVD's available? There were 3 very old DVD's under the TV cabinet, none of which were appropriate for a family of kids. Or perhaps even some board games would have been in the cupboards? But there was NOTHING like this available. We also couldn't get the Gas fire going, at all. After numerous attempts. And we had a power disaster and we had no hot water for a while one day, which was fixed by an electrician who had to pop around - something to do with the lights out in the BBQ area being turned on, but the rain had gotten into them. Over all it was a little disappointing, as we had paid a lot of money for this trip, and were let down with a number of things.

Summary: Loved the property. Was a good fit for our group and the lake access was fantastic. Would love to see Wifi get put into the property, as we had a couple trying to work while they were there. Only negative was that there was only one rubbish bag sticker for a house that had 10 people over a 4 days stay.

Summary: We would have appreciated if the property had been looked at before we arrived. House needed to be aired it smelt must with little to no ventilation in some rooms, there are only windows in the kitchen (some vents were stuck closed). Surfaces could have been wiped, there were dead insects on the windowsills and a dead cockroach in the bathroom sink. The bathroom sink had a green ring around the drain which could have been cleaned. The shower wouldn’t drain and would overfill on to the bathroom floor. A lot of dishes in the kitchen pantry were dirty. The toilet door handle by the main entrance fell off the first time we tried to open it. The wardrobe door handle fell off. There was a 30cm hole in the grass full of yucky stink water near the septic. Overall it lacked maintenance and care. However, bedding and towels were great quality and heating through the house was good it was comfortable enough with lots of space and we enjoyed the pergola/fireplace and the deck with a stunning view.
