Amazing 8 acres of property and a 4,300 sq ft home, renovated 5 bedroom / 4 bathroom. The house sleeps up to 10 people. Perfect setting in the woods and on the lake. Enjoy the 2 kayaks, 2 standup paddle boards, tubes and rafts, lake trampoline and fishing rods. Relax on the hammocks, roast smores at the fire pit, play basketball and enjoy the outdoor shower. There’s also a Weber gas BBQ. The house has ample living and entertaining space with the open kitchen, sitting area, and huge living room with 10 person dining table, 65 in tv and couch with 3 recliners. The whole house was just renovated over the summer and has ample space to accommodate families and large groups of friends. The 1,500 sq ft basement was just completed, it’s fully carpeted with a bedroom, full bathroom, sleeper sectional sofa and lots of fun stuff...a ping pong table, bar area with dart board, 55 inch tv, Nintendo 64, and a huge toy closet. There is AC in the living which keeps the downstairs cool, and all bedrooms have AC, other then the basement, which stays cool and has a Dyson fan in the bedroom. The house is shaded, so stays cool even on hot days.
Across the lake is Sand Beach, a beach with swimming area, picnic tables and has a dive bar with food, drinks and music. Go visit Bethel Woods for concerts during the summer or The Woodstock Museum all year round, checkout Catskills Distillery across from Bethel Woods. Float down the Delaware River, explore hiking trails, go to the cute town of Narrowsburg and all the great restaurants in the area.
For the winter, the 2 closest ski areas are Big Bear in PA and Holiday Mountain in Thompson, NY.

Summary: House was spacious enough for a family gathering and the common areas served our family well. We were there on a cloudy and wet fall weekend, so we couldn't make use of the lakefront in the way you might in the summer. Eric was very easy to work with and very accommodating, really couldn't ask more from a host. Overall I would say that the house would work best for families with kids, rather than all adults and is more amenable for use during the warmer months.

Summary: This property is true to it's listing. Private acreage with ample outdoor space for lawn games, relaxation, and access to the lake! The house provided so much room for our group to spread out and have privacy. The kitchen and house was stocked with everything we needed and has large dining room for family-style dinners. This house is the perfect getaway for you, your family, and friends! Could not recommend any higher.

Summary: There are 3 good bedrooms for adults and the rest would work for kids. Private, quiet setting. Swimming from the dock isn’t great, need to get out past the Lilly pads. House is spacious, room for large family dinners.

Summary: We had a great time at this house. It has a great layout for families with kids and we had every amenity we could have needed. Communication with the host was always quick and easy. The location right on the lake is breathtaking. The hosts tips on where to go and where to eat were spot on. We highly recommend a stay at this house!

Summary: My family and I had the best time at Eric’s beautiful home on Highland Lake. The house was the perfect size for our party of 8 adults and two children. We really lucked out with some incredible October weather that allowed us to enjoy the lake activities and see the gorgeous fall colors during the day, but still chilly enough fo huddle around the bonfire at night. The kids had a blast fishing, kayaking, jumping on the water trampoline, and playing ping pong. Eric couldn’t have been any more of an accommodating host. I look forward to staying here again in the future!

Summary: The property is great for the most part. The upstairs bedrooms share a Jack and Jill bathroom which is pretty weird since the entrance to it from the larger bedroom is a sliding barn-style door which gives very little privacy since it doesn't actually block any sound and has a large gap.

Summary: We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautifully decorated and very clean home. The property and lake were delightfully quiet and serene. All the water activities were perfect for our group of adults and teens. Bald eagles flying over the lake, lots of ping pong matches, hiking at Mongaup River Trail, horseback riding, smores by the fire pit were just some of the highlights. Eric is a great host.
