Relax at General's Retreat located in beautiful Burnside, KY. Located .1 mile from Safe Harbor Marina and .5 mile from Burnside Island boat ramp, camping and golf, you've got Lake Cumberland in your backyard. Spacious parking to accommodate any size boat! Sleeps 7 people featuring 3 bedrooms with 2 queen beds, 1 full size bed and futon. Your furry friends are welcome! Come enjoy the fireside lakeview, arcade games, patio and respite.
The space
Cozy cottage with lots of charm. A great location for meeting up with friends and family. We are nestled between Safe Harbor Marina (0.1 miles away) and General Burnside Island State Park (0.5 miles away).
Safe Harbor Marina offers a boat ramp, boat rentals, fuel dock, and Burnside Cafe. General Burnside Island State Park offers fishing, boat ramp, golfing, camping.

Living Room:
Smart TV Netflix/Hulu/Amazon Prime must be accessed via guest credentials.

Back Room:
Futon Couch, Arcade game - This room is perfect for kids while parents can enjoy relaxing in the main living room.

Kitchen:
The kitchen has an eat in bar, refridgerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove.

Dining Room:
Table with space for 6. Perfect for a family style meal or late night card games.

Laundry:
Washer and dryer.

Bathroom:
Bathtub/shower; sink.
Half Bathroom located in first bedroom to the right.

Bedrooms:
3 bedrooms: (1) Queen size platform style bed, half bath in room, dresser for belongings. (2) Queen size bed, closet and dresser for belongings, (3) Full size bed, closet for belongings.

Outside:
Firepit area with 4 chairs and string lights, perfect for making s'mores, watching the lake and taking in the sounds of the water. Hammock for afternoon naps and book reading.

Pets:
We allow 1 pet and consider 2 with pre-approval and an additional $50 fee. Please care for our area and take pets outside often to prevent accidents indoors. Please no pets in the beds.

No access to the basement.

We offer starter items of toiletries including toilet paper, trash bags, some cleaning supplies, coffee. You will likely need more throughout your stay and are responsible for providing these.
Please keep in mind this is a privately owned older home. We are happy to address repairs to the best of our ability and access. Please keep us informed of any damages or issues that may arise. Our home will be inspected upon check out and you will be charged for any damages or missing items

Summary: The house was comfortable and in a nice area, with a community park and playground and a coffee place in walking distance, and river views from the backyard. Toys and arcade machines were a nice touch for a family stay.

Summary: I’d like to commend the hosts of this home as it was spotlessly clean and very well supplied with goodies and things we ended up using during our stay. From s’mores kits including nice long wooden sticks for the marshmallows to laundry soap to really everything we could have asked for. The 3 bedroom house was awesome, and perfect for our needs. Also, the gas grill, fire pit, adirondak chairs and lights were awesome. The host even worked with us on check in as we were needing a home to stay in that was close to the marina. Excellent property and we will be back!

Summary: This property has it all! So close to the Burnside marina you can easily walk. It was very clean and exactly as pictured. The best part was the communication from the host. The allowed us to check in early which was such a bonus. On top of all this… we forgot an item and they helped us arrange to pick it up. 10/10 recommend

Summary: We really appreciated the size of the rental, it was nice to have multiple areas for the family to spread out on a rainy day. The outdoor area great. Loves the hammock and you can peak at the lake from there Very close to burnside - can walk it - but is a narrow road so watch for cars The house is in a neighborhood The host was VERY flexible and responsive!! We would stay there again

Summary: Beautiful property with plenty of space for a trailer and boat. Minutes away from boat ramp! Home is gorgeous and decorated so perfectly! My teen took pics of the wallpaper and color schemes for her room ❤️ And my 12 year old had her first Ale8 and is hooked 😆 Extremely responsive and kind hosts! Cannot wait to stay here again!
