Whether you're traveling for work or leisure, with family or friends, for a week or a weekend, or just looking for a staycation close to home, this is your place on Pigeon Lake!
This waterfront home is located 10 minutes from the heart of Indiana Amish Country, Shipshewana, and just 1 hour from Notre Dame!
The Space:
This 3 bedroom, 2 bath house has cozy vibes with pine trim and woodwork throughout. The kitchen has a beautiful copper ceiling and the spacious living room boasts a stunning view of the lake as well as a cozy fireplace! The garage space has been renovated recently to add the 2nd bath & 3rd Bedroom as well as additional living space, kitchenette & still to come- a game room area!
You'll want to spend as much time on the back patio as possible! Bring your fishing pole & fish from the dock, grill your dinner & eat outside while you take in the view, then roast s'mores over the fire under the stars!
The kitchen is stocked with basic cooking supplies, including olive oil & salt & pepper. Currently the only kitchen seating is at the bar.
We supply a limited amount of toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags and laundry detergent. We encourage bringing or purchasing additional supplies if you anticipate needing more.

We have 2 kayaks & a canoe available for use!
You are welcome to bring your own boat to dock at our pier. We do not have one available to rent.
Pigeon Lake is a no wake lake with a 5mph speed limit
The Neighborhood:
Our retreat is located in a quiet lakeside neighborhood!
Please be respectful of the neighbors & observe quiet time after 10PM
Other Things to Note:
We have a 3 seat canoe and 2 kayaks. If you have children, please bring an appropriate life jacket for them.
You are also welcome to bring your own boat or kayaks or paddle boards. We are located right next to the public access.
Swimming is available off the dock. Lakes are often unpredictable so please are safety precautions & have children wear life jackets.

Summary: We came to Shipshewana MEC Center for a truck and tractor pull event - the property was great!! Due to the cold weather a couple of us considered staying at the house and watching the event via live stream!! that's how comfortable the house was - with the propane fireplace and stunning view (it was snowing great big flakes) The host answered all my questions before our trip and house was well stocked with towels - highly recommend - Thanks

Summary: We had a wonderful time staying at this beautiful lakeside home. The lake was full of wildlife: turtles, deer geese loons. We kayaked around the lake everyday. Such a peaceful area and we were close to Shipshewana so we were able to go a horse auction and a swap meet as well as some of the local stores. Sarah was quick to reply to all of my questions. We will definitely want to stay here again!

Summary: We had a great stay at Lakeside Retreat!! The house had everything we needed for our quick 3-day getaway. The beds & pillows were very comfortable and the house was clean and welcoming. The outdoor patio was fantastic!! We had a bonfire the first night and made use of the kayaks as well. The lake is calm & beautiful; I loved watching the turtles pop their heads up near the pier and the beautiful swan swimming across the lake was the icing on the cake. We will definitely be back!

Summary: We really enjoyed our stay at the lake! The property was exactly like the listing pictures and description. There was plenty to do! The kayaks and canoe were easy to access and we used them everyday. We had icecream in Howe and the kids played on the playground in the evening. Another day we spent the afternoon shopping in Shipshewana and the kids enjoyed the carousel. We will definitely be back!
