Summary: We went to visit family and thought, from the pictures that this was right on the river but the house is actually across the street. There's another smaller home on this property. There was no other renter so it was still fun but I don't know how it would be if someone else was in that home. Pros- The house was big and the ability to spend time together was wonderful. The kitchen is well stocked and they even left us a surprise. The bathrooms were also well stocked and the full bathroom was nice sized The bedrooms were large and at opposite sides of the hallway giving us plenty of privacy. Water toys were provided and we especially enjoyed the kayaks. This was a big bonus! Cons - There are a lot of stairs with no railings, except going up to the bedrooms. Some of the stairs are rather steep or high making it difficult for those who have special needs, like me, who need a railing for support. Having to go across the street to enjoy the outdoor activities as stated above. Overall this house is perfect for a family gathering. We had twelve all together but only three of us actually stayed at the house. The host was responsive and answered our questions quickly. There's a large finished basement and plenty of room to spread out. We had to grill across the street but that worked out okay. My suggestion is for the host to tell that the property is not right on the water and that there are only a couple of railings and a lot of stairs. Otherwise I highly recommend this house.
