3 Bedroom House in Alexandrina, Clayton Bay

Located on the most interesting part of the Murray River, Clayton Bay is definitely one of South Australia's best kept secrets and its close proximity to Adelaide makes it an ideal location for a weekend away.
Several upgrades have just been completed to ensure your stay is more comfortable. This includes new bedroom furniture, mattresses and bedding in all 3 rooms, new floating floor through out , lounge and dining room furniture and new electric stove. Lalapanzi offers ample sleeping options. The main bedroom and second bedroom have queen size beds. Both these bedrooms have independent reverse cycle air conditioning. The third bedroom has 2 x King single beds. The beds are all made with sheets, doona and pillows.
Bathroom towels, shampoo, conditioner and soap are provided free of charge for your relaxing stay.
Enjoy complimentary wine from Bleasdale Wines in Langhorne Creek on arrival.
Tea and coffee are also provided free of charge and include a drip filter machine, an electric drip filter coffee pot and Nespresso compatible POD machine. Tea, ground coffee and PODs are provided free of charge.
The living area has two sofas with TV, and Blue ray DVD.
The dining table seats six people and there are 3 stools around the kitchen bench.
There is a reverse cycle heating and cooling system in the main lounge, dining and kitchen area and 2 new units installed in the 2 back bedrooms.
Outside is an undercover area with a pizza oven for those who wish to test their wood oven cooking skills. This can be great fun for the whole family but if you have never used a wood oven before I suggest you do a little research first before using it. (Hard wood or red gum is recommended).
There is also a gas Weber BBQ, outdoor table and chairs and shade umbrellas for the deck.
If you have a boat or enjoy water sports then the local boat ramp and jetty are ideal if you want to get out on the water. Goolwa is just 20 minutes away by boat.
If you are into bird life or walking then this is an ideal location with wetland board walks and cliff top tracks that weave their way all around Clayton Bay.
Fishing is a must off the local jetty while you watch the sunrise or choice as both can be spectacular.
Pier 28 Cafe is a 5 minute walk away for coffee and takeaway and offers breakfast, lunch and dinner.(Limited trading hours, check Facebook page for details)
Lalapanzi is a pet friendly guest house so we encourage you to bring your furry companion with you. The back yard is fully fenced.
Only 10 minutes from Clayton Bay is Milang, where there is a general store and bakery open 7 days a week and a hotel with good pub meals.
Goolwa is 20-25 minutes away with the Currency Creek wineries on the way.
Langhorne Creek (one of the best wine regions in South Australia) is right on your door step and is well worth a visit. It is only a 22 minute drive with many wineries which serve both fine food and wine.
Strathalbyn is 30 mins away with many cafes, bakery's and antique shops to explore.

Summary: This house is very clean and well equipped. The beds are comfy and the blackout blinds in the bedrooms make for a fantastic sleep-in. Pets are welcomed and privacy is excellent. We stayed 6 nights. Highly recommend.

Summary: Perfect for a little family getaway with our adult children and fur babies. BBQs, Boardgames and walks were the theme for the long weekend. Well equipped kitchen and clean throughout. Excellent communication prior and the option to check in earlier and check out later was very much appreciated.

Summary: This is a great house with a great layout eg separate toilet and basin. Comfortable lounge suite and beds. Very well provisioned with the owners providing lots of basics in the kitchen such as oil, espresso coffee, gladwrap etc and some complimentary wine. Clayton bay itself is very quiet mostly geared to walks and fishing, it is 30-60 mins from larger centres so we went for day drives. We enjoyed relaxing in a comfortable home with a pretty outlook of trees.

Summary: This is one of the most organised and thought-out properties we have stayed in. The owners have thought about everything; everything is in order and easy to access. The rooms were spacious, clean and pet friendly. I would highly recommend this property. The only downside was no internet; even the Telstra network was in and out of service.
